Hi guys,

I just finished posting my second scrapbook album from our January 26th, 2002 Disney Magic Cruise!

Just click on the link below, then click on Scrapbooking and then Disney Magic.

Warning: My site takes a bit to load.

:D

Very nice scrapbook pages! I'm already working on new ideas for my cruise in October. Our first Disney cruise was our honeymoon and #2 is on our second anniversary.

Can't wit!:) :earsgirl:

What an amazing job!!! I wish I had the talent to do a scrapbook like that! Thanks for sharing it, Cass!

Wow! What a talent! I wish I had the patience to put a project like that together! You did a wonderful job, can't wait to see the next albums!

I love it!!!

Like I said, you inspire me! I went out and bought a bunch of Disney stuff for scrapbooking.

Where did you find some of it?

You really did a wonderful job!

:p WHAT A SUPER JOB YOU HAVE DONE ON THE ALBUM!!! I THINK I CAN JUMP IN WITH BOTH FEET AND DO MINE NOW. I'M STILL NOT SURE EXACTLY WHERE TO START BUT I WILL GET THE JOB DONE SOMEDAY ESPECIALLY IF OTHERS LIKE YOU KEEP ME INSPIRED WITH YOUR HANDYWORK. THANKS FOR SHARING.;)

I will send you our pictures and you create the scrapbook. I was amazed the time you had to have put into those. What a talent..smjj

That's incredible! How'd you do that? And you had Sasha from Croatia! Wasn't he AWESOME!!!

I remember your pictures before you scrapbooked them. I do a little scrapbooking, but I always feel bad cutting the pictures. That's the dilema. If you don't scrapbook and cut, it makes for a "boring" presentation, BUT if you scrapbook correctly, the result as you see is a spectacular intersting presentation of a trip. What an incredible job!!!! I tend to the boring because I'm lazy. LOL.

I'm sending my pictures, too!

Tina :)

Loved the scrapbook Cass. I've recently started scrapbooking but supplies over here are quite limited - my nearest shop is about 3 hours away :( Where did you get the character stickers/cutouts/paper piecings from?
We're going on the Magic next year and I can't wait - 3 weeks Orlando and 1 week DCL :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Wow, thanks guys...you're too nice! It really just takes a LOT of time, practice (have you seen my first album! Gosh!) and a teeny bit of creativity.

Let's see, I will try to answer some of your questions....
CRB#33 & Nick the Cat (cute name!):

I buy most of my materials at my local Scrapbook Store...Scrapbookers Paradise...oh my...it's overwhelming to go in there! Once you start scrappin, you develop a style of your own...mine, so I've been told, is very clean and precise. I like using printed papers (that you can get at any SB store) for my backgrounds and then I mat my pictures, usually with cardstock...HOW I do this depends on my mood for each page I guess. I don't use too many stickers but I LOVE the embellishments (like eyelets, buttons, ribbon etc) and I use my computer for almost all my titles and journaling. Then I just let my creativity take over from there.

Pugdog007, Sasha was amazing! He was funny and very friendly. Sometimes we couldn't understand him but we had some fun with it. Hmm, we got his address, maybe I should send him the link...he's in half my album anyway :)

Hopkins, I know what you mean! I had a hard time with my first album with regards to cutting my pictures. For my cruise, I got double prints and felt SO much better about it! LOL :)

Nick the Cat, For a long while, our stores were very limited in supplies as well, until Scrapbookers Paradise opened. Even then, they still didn't have stuff that I like to work with. I ordered tons of embellishments on the internet. There are TONS of sites with great SB products, anything you want, it's out there!
Some of the stuff I used in my album was from the cruise. I used postcards, parts of the brochure, breakfast menu and other stuff left in our stateroom...just take everything home with you and then decide what you want in your SB. :)

My hubby brought my SB to work and got such great response from it, he told me to do SB's for others as a job. So he made me put together a flyer and stuff. I would LOVE to do that as a career, but it is VERY expensive, for supplies and people don't realize it sometimes. It probably cost me about $350 CDN just for materials for ONE album. Not counting some basic supplies I had already invested in and my TIME! But I put together a price list and he took it to work and if I have any takers, I will be VERY happy to do SB's!!! His mom might be my first customer :) She's the shoe box lady...you know...take 12 rolls of pictures and get them developed and then put them in a show box for 25 years :)

Anyway, thanks for the wonderfully nice comments and if you have any more Q's...I will be around

Timon:

You have Sasha's email address? Would you mind passing it along? I'd love to give him a few more accolades!

Thanks,

Ginger, aka Pugdog

Hey Timon!

You have the best scrapbook ideas I have seen! I hope you don't get tired of the compliments because I just had to say something! I've scrapped for about 4 years now and the difference in my books is amazing!! Practice does make, well I don't know about perfect but definately better. I have got to go on another cruise because I did not take nearly enough pictures! I thought I did, but no. I guess it doesn't help when you have a husband who with every click says "another picture?" One day he'll appreciate that. I also love your scrapping room! Thats my problem - I hate dragging everything out and having to put it back up etc. Anyways, I just wanted to tell you I love your style and hope you don't mind if I steal a few page layouts!

Ginger,

I don't have his e-mail but I have his PO address that he keeps in Port Canaveral....although, I can't seem to recall where I have placed it. If you would like it, I will search harder for it :) Let me know...

kellyb2000,

How could one get tired of compliments LOL!!! And I am lucky to have a great husband that is usually heard saying "Stand there, let me take your picture" unlike most husbands. I' m usually the one saying...no more pictures of me!!!! :)

And I also realize how lucky I am to have a great area to do my scrapping. I can't imagine having to take out my stuff and put it all away each time I felt a little bit of creativity!

<----sends out sympathy for all you closet Scrapbookers!

:)

Timon,

I have looked at a number of trip reports over the years and I would have to say that you are in the top three. I was blown away with yours. I liked the way you broke it up, included pictures with description, etc. When I get home I plan to show my DW your page.

Keep up the great work! OUSTANDING!!

Timon,
Sasha was our server last Nov. and we thought he was great! Did he happen to say how much longer he was going to continue on DCL?

Cass, Are your web pictures stored on a disc? How do you get printouts that are stable enough to "keep" in the scrapbook? Or are your photos from a conventional camera, then scanned into your site? Enjoyed both the web and the scrapbooks. January, huh? I'm only four YEARS behind on my scrapbooks.

Carla:(

we3luvdisney,

Wow! What a wonderful compliment!! Thank you so much! All those hours of work are so worth it when I get feedback like that from people who have enjoyed it! I have enjoyed SO MANY trip reports over the last few years as well, I am just happy I can contribute too!

walter,
Our cruise was Sasha's last cruise before heading home to see his wife and his brand new baby. I can't recall him saying if he was returning, but from the way he was talking about working on the Magic, I am sure he would be back after his break.

abitjaded,

My photos taken on the cruise are from a regular camera then I have done my scrapbooks and then my hubby brings the digital camera from his work home and I take photos of the SB, which I then crop and upload to my website. And I am sure you will catch up one day with your scrapbooks! I actually started scrapping after my Oct 2000 trip to Disney. Then I did some gift albums and a small wedding album. The we did the cruise and did those albums....just yesterday I started scrapping our "real life" starting with the day I met my husband. So I am so excited to do some normal layouts :) So, I guess I am 6 years behind
