I might ask DH if I can use some extra money to buy a new scale. Mine stinks. It keeps saying I've actually gained 3 lbs this week rather then lost. Any other time I think I would have believed it but then not even 60 seconds later I get on the scale and it says 163, then 165, then 167, then back down to 161 - should I take the average? I'm wondering if I'm even in the 160's at this point, especially since I feel so thin and everyone keeps noticing.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Our old scale was like that. It was like it was possessed or something.

We finally went and bought a Tanita and don't have that problem anymore. :)

My scale has been pretty unreliable lately, too. It drives you nuts, doesn't it? I think we both need to invest in new ones, Amanda! :D

When I first started WW back in October, I decided to buy a new scale. I had a cheap analog scale. I told myself I was going to do this the right way. So I went bought a digital scale. I had weighed myself on the old one and then jumped on the new. The old one said I weighed 4-5lbs more. Can you guess where the old one went? ;) Yep the garbage. :p

Toss it, Amanda! Like Lisa I have a Tanita that I absolutely love! I guess scales simply aren't made to hang around in bathrooms for years and years.... ;) I know mine wasn't! :teeth:

That's why I use the doctor's scale at my gym. Home scales usually have springs and they can be very inaccurate and unpredictable...not to mention they can RUIN your day!
