I created an account just to give my 2 cents about myrvhotel.com. We just used them this past weekend at Fort Wilderness and I am here to help as many people as I can steer clear of this place. It's a lengthy story but please believe me when I say it's worth the read.
We decided to join a neighborhood camping trip and scrambled last minute for an RV. Patrick (owner of myrvhotel.com) was very responsive and accommodating for such short notice. My family and I thought we had hit the jackpot until we showed up at the camp site. I found it a bit strange that the website did not have the make year of the trailers but, in the rush of things, didn't pay much attention to it....what a mistake! The trailer (The Wildcat) was 10 years old with MANY issues. The 1st thing that happened was that the lights got very dim, all of a sudden. You could barely see inside the trailer. A neighbor came over to help us figure out what the issue was. When we walked around the trailer there was a strong propane smell, one of the tanks had a leak! We switched over to the other tank and avoided any further issues with that. After almost an hour trying to figure out the electrical issue, Patrick called me and had me reset the main breaker inside the trailer. That fixed the electrical issue, we thought we were done with that nonsense but....no! The breaker kept tripping ALL weekend! Without exaggerating I must've reset that thing a dozen times. Our first morning there, my wife went to make coffee and found an old filter with coffee grounds still in the coffee maker, gross! Then she found black mold stains on the master bed's sheets! Every time we flushed the master bedroom's toilet, a stench would inundate the room. My wife refused to sleep in the room and we spent the weekend sleeping in the sofa. The hot water heater only holds about 5 mins of hot water; there were 7 of us. Patrick's suggestions were "turn off the water while soaping up" or "take quick showers". My family and I commuted back and forth to the property's showers to avoid dealing with that nonsense. To top it all off, I did the math and myrvhotel.com was more expensive that the competition and had way worse to offer! I deeply regret renting from this site. Our camping trip was ruined, the only time we actually enjoyed the weekend was when we were away from the trailer. I sent Patrick an email with all this info and more but I've yet to hear back from him. Never again!
I HIGHLY recommend Greenberg Rentals. All their trailers are brand new, modern and we've never had a problem with them. Next time I will plan better so that we have the time to get the trailer my wife and kids deserve.
