Well, first of all, we were a bit disappointed to see the prices of the tickets. We thought it would be a little cheaper. When we arrived (around 10am) the lines to get admission were very very long. It was a Sunday. My boyfriend, 3 yr. old daughter and friends of ours waited on the line for a while. Then our friend realized he locked his keys in his car. We went back to the car to help him. We had to wait for the Parking lot security to help get someone there to unlock the door. By the time we actually got into the park, it was just past noon. The security in the parking lot were very helpful and nice. :) We explored some of the exhibits with no lines! Big plus! :thumbsup2 Some of the better ones were the shark encounter, and penguin encounter. We saw the Clyde and Seamore show which everyone loved, but I wasn't too crazy about. The stadium was packed though and most people looked like they enjoyed it. We were able to get seats at the very last minute. :thumbsup2
Then we ate lunch (around 2pm) at a brick oven pizza place in the park. It was very expensive, but very good. Even though it was 2pm, the place was quite a bit crowded and there was a wait for the food. After lunch, my boyfriend, and friends went on the roller coaster, Kraken. There was absoloutely no wait, and it was 3 in the afternoon. I didn't go on. I don't like rollercoasters and I had to stay with my daughter. They enjoyed the ride very much. We saw a couple more exhibits, then browsed some shops. At 6pm, the park started to empty and we were very exhausted. My boyfriend, and friends went on Journey to Atlantis and loved it (There were some unexpected drops) and Kraken one more time with no waits again plus they got to sit in the very front row. We drove to Seaworld (we live 3 hrs. away) and although I really wanted to see the Shamu show, we never did because we decided to start heading home. The park was closing at around 8pm and we got to do almost everything we wanted with no waits whatsoever. The good part about the expensive tickets was that since we are florida residents, we get to come back all year with the admission ticket we bought for that one day. Now it doesn't seem so expensive. If you have any questions, please ask.

Thanks for taking the time to post that review. We're heading down in a few weeks and plan on spending a day at Sea World as we'll be across the street from it (Horizon's).

Was there in 89, so I'm looking forward to seeing it again, and your review is making me look even more forward to it :cool1:

We were there in Feb and for about $5.00 more we got an upgrade which also enables us to return as many times as we want until the end of the year....great deal as we're heading back next week! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I think Sea World is such a beautiful and relaxing type of park....we also love the "nursery" with all the baby dolphins playing!

Glad you had a nice time! :thumbsup2

Seaworld was one of my highlights from last years trip and I was bummed when we left. We are going back in December for another day it was so enjoyable.

Will you go back again? We have thought about buying the Fla year passes for me and the kids because my DH is a teacher and gets free admission. Is it a park you could back to 2 or 3 times? My DD loves shows and hates rides so I thought this might be a good park. Both my kids like animals and marine life.

I love Sea World it has been a couple of years since we have been there but we are planning on going in Nov when we are there!! I can't wait!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We love :fish: Seaworld, too. :goodvibes The biggest problem with all the shows is that they are scheduled in such a way that it is difficult to see them all in one day.... at least we thought so. :sad2:

Our absolute favorite, however, was one people often overlook, "Pets ahoy". It is a story acted out by a collection of dogs, cats, ducks, pigs, etc., :dogdance: :cat: most of whom are rescue animals. It's delightful and so impressive!

That would be good for us, because we only like to be in a park for 5 or 6 hours parks and prefer to go often for shorter periods. As Fla residents we go to Orlando several times a year for 2 or days. I think my DD would love Sea World and with my husband getting free admission we could get both WDW season passes and SW passes.

We could easily do Sea World over and over again. It can be as chaotic, or as peaceful as you want! It sounds as though your kids would love it, Chobie.

We loved Pets Ahoy!!! We were also lucky enough to be eating lunch in the park and some of the dogs were out being walked and we got to pet them and hear thier stories about thier rescue!!! I just loved every part of it! Except Kracken! LOL I got talked into that and I would not do that one again! LOL

KarenG How can you hate Kracken? We love it.

I just got back and I was dissapointed in SW only because we did not get to see believe. There is so much hype about it and I was very really looking forward to seeing it. I asked for a refund so we can all see it in Feb. when we get back. They were very nice and offered us all a free day. We had bouyght year passes and the show last Feb. was lousy because they were setting up for believe. Something to look forward to if I can get them out of the pool. LOL Deb

The Kracken scared me!! We did Animal Kingdom in April when we were there and my poor husband had to ride everest by himself! LOL
I like some of the coasters, but Kracken was a bit too much but my hubby and our friends rode it several times they loved it!
I want to see believe I hope its going on when we are there and I also missed the sea lion show!
But I must say one of the best days for me was Discovery Cove! and I also love typhoon lagoon!
