My review of TOMS at Disneyland!

Another thing that may help with the Toms was something that I learned on the DIS when planning our WDW trip. Use spray antiperspirant on your feet. We wore Keens every day there and sprayed our feet before heading out. Not a single blister until the one evening that DD forgot to spray.

It sounds like that might work for the Toms also.

Good tip! That also might help cut down on the odor problem with TOMS.

Yeah, I don't think I could wear my TOMS with socks. I think you are supposed to wear them with bare feet. I use Body Glide on my feet when I wear TOMS, it dries to a powder and keeps my feet dry and stops blisters.

Does this help with the smell of TOMS as well?

I wouldn't think so. Preventing blisters isn't the same as preventing odors. The odor is caused by bacteria breaking down the sweat, so unless a product is antibacterial or antiperspirant, it probably won't make much difference.

True but the person said it keeps their feet dry as well. The smell is caused by the sweat but if it keeps your feet dry then you shouldn't get the smell from the sweat, right? Maybe it's just wishful thinking. lol

Well, just to be on the safe side (because it would be just gross to be wrong on this one), I would go with something antibacterial in addition to the body glide. Or you could get the anti-odor spray for TOMS on Amazon.com.

Thanks for the tips. I'll see what I can find. :)

Hmmm...I think it must because my TOMS aren't smelly. And trust me, my husband would let me know if they were! :)

LOL! Well I certainly let my daughter know that her's are as well. Ick!! We're hoping to pick up a new pair for her and one for myself in a couple of weeks so it would be nice to figure out a way, other than never wearing them :rotfl: , to keep them from stinking up the hotel room at night. :crazy2:

It is so strange how feet can be so different.

I love my Toms (and yes I have to use foot odor spray in them from time to time) but there is no way I could ever consider wearing them to DL. I wish I could.

I have Plantar Fasciitis and have to wear orthotics that don't fit in the Toms.

I use to have some Teva's that were kind of like opened hiking shoe that I wore out. Now I am stuck with athletic shoes.

Glad that the Toms worked for you!

I love body glide and even though I am in a scooter I do like to walk at Disneyland so park it a lot. I will continue to use that product with my Tom's but I did buy the spray that was recommended here and it should arrive in a few days. I can't stand stinky feet or shoes, so I would rather be proactive instead of waiting for them to actually stink.

Even in the recent snow I did not wear socks with my Tom's and they were so much nicer than the flip flops I would normally wear in snow! I really can't wait to try them out in Disneyland.
