My restaurant of the day - Le Cellier

Thanks for the great pictures! LeCellier is our favorite!

We ate at LeCellier a couple of weeks ago and I asked the waitress if they gave out the soup recipe and she said yes and took my email address and said they'd forward it. I'm still waiting...does anyone else have the recipe?
I could make a meal of the soup and the bread....yum yum.
(wish they'd serve the soup in bigger portions!)

Le Cellier is the restaurant that we feel the Unofficial Guide to WDW is most unfair to in its review. In fact, though we've learned to take the restaurant reviews in that book with a grain of salt, we avoided Le Cellier for years because they were so vehement in their disdain for it. Finally, this past May we tried it and LOVED it.

Though we enjoy and respect much of what the UG says, now we usually refer to them as the "food snobs"!

Thanks, SD, for another wonderful WDW memory! My DW and I love Le Cellier -- and we leave there more than full.

While everyone seems to rave about the Cheddar Cheese soup (which is good), I am a fan of their beef barley soup. It is very rich and has a bit of a kick to it. My DW and I usually order one or the other and then share! The breaksticks -- oh my oh my -- those could be a meal all by themselves. :)

I'm dying laughing over here about the portion sizes. Oh, I wish I had taken a picture of the "tomato stack" I had. It was a huge plate with two slices of tomato on it. Think burger fixins size tomatoes, sprinkled with some soy type sauce.

OK--changed my PS (again!) to Oct 5 @ noon

I'll have a sky blue and lime green lanyard on (from Kellogg) with a lime green mickey head attached

We absolutely love this restaurant, but it's even more spectacular all dressed up it it's holiday's finest. We have so enjoyed your pictures--they bring WDW to life and give a lift for those of us waiting to get back "home."

OK - we gave Le Cellier a try on August 15th.

I had the Beef and Barley Soup followed by the 14oz New York Strip Steak, Yukon Potatoes and Red Wine Sauce and DW had the Cheese Soup followed by 7oz Fillet Mignon with Cream Cheese Potato.

The food was very nice and the service good. But, I'm sorry I don't think it was value for money. The portion sizes for the potatoes and 'teaspoon' of red wine sauce were rediculously small.

After dining at Boma and 'Ohanas for less money and getting so much more, I don't think I will do Le Cellier again.

DH had the 14 oz NY strip when we had dinner there in June. He substituted the cream cheese mashed potatoes for the Yukon Gold and they were more than enough for his big appetite. I had the Mushroom Filet with risotto and there was so much food on my plate I couldn't finish it all.

Le Cellier is a "must do" for us on every trip. Can't wait to eat there again on Christmas Eve! :Pinkbounc

Thanks for all the info. Just made my PS for LeCellier for December 10 for the CP.

Everything looks wonderful.

Best choice we did the same thing last Dec. 7th. It was fabulous. Both the meal and the show,......

Thanks so much Laura

LeCellier is our favorite. We ate there this past December after the CP and it was wonderful. Our server was so sweet. When our meal was over she brought out a fresh batch of pretzel bread wrapped in foil. It was hot from the oven and my DD was thrilled. It's her favorite part. We are having Thankgiving dinner at LeCellier and I can't wait. :D

I would love to go on our next trip!!!

But can someone tell me if this is more of a non-kids restaurant or is it kid friendly?????

Thanks for the pcitures. I made reservations for LeCellier for CP on 12/30. It is our favorite restaurant!

We just did Le'Cellier for the first time last week.
IT WAS AWESOME!

It is kid friendly, there were plenty of kids there-including our three!
Our son fell asleep in his stroller right before our PS and they let us bring the stroller in and he slept through the whole meal.

The food was terrific, we all started with the cheese soup (YUMMY) and ate a ton of bread sticks.
I had the 7 oz filet with the best mashed potatoes. My husband had the garic chicken which he said was great. My oldest daughter had the kids steak (great) and other daughter had the usual chicken nuggets. They even had a fun kids drink that comes with the light up ice cube called Northern Lights.
We were all too full foe dessert.

We also had a great waiter, Josh. He was funny and friendly, and oh and also VERY HOT!

We will definately go back!
