Cap'n Jack's has been around for quite a while and is located in the Marketplace at Downtown Disney. It's right on the water and the view is great.

I have more Cap'n Jack's pix HERE.

The first time I was at this restaurant was on my honeymoon in 1983...I think they called the area Lake Buena Vista Marketplace back then. The second time I was there was in March of 2003....20 years later. My recent visit was for lunch and we were very pleased with our meals. It was a pleasant atmosphere, good service, good food, and the price was reasonable. I am sure we'll be back before another 20 years pass. :D

This looks like a great restaurant but we've never stopped in. Is it all seafood or do they have steak, chicken etc. as well?

The menu is mostly fish and seafood but they also have chicken, steak, and ribs.....though the overall menu selection itself is not large. They also have pasta and some sandwiches. Overall, pretty tasty......nothing outstanding.......but good! The setting is beautiful if you can get a window seat overlooking the water.

I've often thought of trying Cap'n Jacks but would prefer to have a reservation, so we can plan around dinner. Do you know if reservations are permitted, we have a party of 5?

Does not take PS arrangements, first come first served. If you dine early it shouldn't be a problem being seated quickly.:earsboy: :sunny:  :earsgirl:

Are you sure about the no PS's at Cap'n Jack's? Normally, we just walk right in, but we have made PS arrangements in the past. And as an extra bit of information, Cap'n Jack's is the last Disney operated restaurant in the Marketplace.

Passporter 2003 on page 220,Priority Seating Not Accepted.I'm sure this is a first come first serve dining venue.I tried last year for PS at Captn' Jacks and was given this same info,no PS can be made.I post this not be a smarty pants just so you know that I base this on personal experience and guide book support of this information.:earsboy: :sunny:  :earsgirl:

:( Sorry, I didn't mean to say that you were wrong or anything, I guess that policy has changed over the years, as we were able to PS at one time. ;)

Nothing to be sorry for, sorry if my reply was harsh I'm the one that should be sorry.I could've chose my words a little better. On the Dis I would always hope that my post's or replys would never hurt anyone's feelings.:earsboy:
