Hi! I just got a reply from VMK as well. Sorry if this is just another basic response they give. Here it is :





Thanks for writing VMK.

We appreciate your interest in Virtual Magic Kingdom and concern regarding the game’s closing.

As Yavn mentioned in the VMK Newsletter, VMK was created and launched as part of Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2005. VMK has operated well beyond the originally intended time it was planned to run, and as the promotion can no longer be extended, the game is now closing.

Over time, you have seen other VMK promotions change, as well as our in-Park presence. You may remember our V.I.P Tours at Disneyland and Walt Disney World or our in-Park Quest. We did not stop running these promotions because we do not love the game, or our Guests, but because the time to run those promotions had come to an end.

VMK will continue to operate as it normally has until the game closes for good on May 21st, 2008 at 10PM PST. Any codes will also still be valid until that same date.

We apologize for any difficulty this may have caused you.

We will be offering our Guests an opportunity to explore Disney’s other online virtual worlds, such as Pirates of the Caribbean Online and Toontown Online. If you are a VMK member in good standing you will receive information about this offer via email.
