<warning, negative comments are made tongue-in-cheek for those of you without a sense of humor!>

I just returned from 9 days at the world and after reading on these boards for the past year about what to expect, boy did I have a let down!

My trip started off terribly wrong when our magical express bus was waiting and left 5 minutes after we boarded. It took us directly to the WL and we arrived early in the day. Imagine my disgust when I was told my room was ready (at 11:00 a.m.) and I could check-in immediately instead of waiting for hours. We walked over to the WL and even though our room was at the end of a long hallway, we actually enjoyed the walk! :sad2:

Our room was clean, non-smoking and the air temperature was easily controlled. Next, we had wonderful meals at O'Hana, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and Crystal Palace. Every CM we encountered was wonderful, nice and helpful - the nerve!

Well I was upset and wanted to complain, but I figured I would give Disney a chance to mess up! We were doing a split stay and moving to BCV where I have heard terrible things! I knew it would be a nightmare - wrong again!

Our luggage was moved promptly and waiting in our room when we checked in at 2:00 p.m. I didn't notice any missing roof tiles, they were painting everything and all of the carpets were being steam cleaned. Our 1BR was perfectly spotless and close to the elevators. Yet again, the CM's went out of their way to be helpful and didn't blink an eye when DVC failed to notify them that we were on the dining plan - they added it at check-in and were gracious and smiling. Art even left his lunch early to meet my little girl and trade a pin because she saw him on Great Hotels and wanted to have her very first trade with him. What kind of person would do that?

The whole experience was very different from what I expected! Now I only have one question - why didn't I buy more points?? :)

Now I am actually looking forward to my visit to SSR in January - what could be worse? :rotfl:

I am so sorry you had a wonderful vacation. Hopefully your trip to SSR with have some majors issues :rotfl:

What would be worse is that you might find those "empty, plain hallways" at SSR not boring enough! :rolleyes1

Someone offers $20 per point for your January reservation and you are forced to accept?

Bobbi

LOL, you and everyone of us at one point or another!

Glad our trip was "spotless"! ;)

Hmph! Now I'M offended. We all need to write a letter about this, its an outrage ;)

CLASSIC !!! Enjoyed reading very much:thumbsup2

Caroline ! What a horrid trip ;) ;) ;)
I was moved to tears by your TR :teeth:
May you have just as awful a time on your next visit :lmao:

how rude of those cast members for being so nice did you get their names and report them?

I have documented all and plan to write a nasty letter to Disney complaining with the hopes, I mean expectations that my next visit will be free.

I also think that I forgot to mention that while I was in Florida, the weather was very warm and sunny - quite startling and unexpected! I didn't see anyone pool hopping. I did jump up and down myself a couple of times, but it didn't catch on. :Pinkbounc

I'm offended that you had warm sunny weather whilst I had to deal with chilly, New England weather. Hrumph.... :headache:

Hope you have a completely awful trip at SSR, so that you have something to complain about.

This post you made about your perfect trip was very boring! :rotfl:

Well dont come here complaining!! You should have reported this immediately.

If you need Carli D'Agostino's email addy you let me know! I will PM it to you right away!

I am tired of us members being treated like 1st Class citizens! This has to stop! :rotfl:

Now where is that FEDEX for my SSR add-on? :wizard:

Oh the horrors! I think our F & W weekend was just like yours, except maybe we could almost complain because our studio wasn't ready until 3:55 pm! What do you think? A letter to all the powers that be?

I have been avoiding this because I though you were serious...

glad it wasn't the mess you thought it would be.

hopefully your SSR trip will live up to (or down to) your exceptations.

You mean they didn't even lose your luggage or anything? BCV is always just terrible when I'm there. I keep going back and going back, hoping it will get better. And that gelato-I keep trying to eat it all so that no one else is subjected to it, but I guess I haven't been succesful. Did you get an Illuminations view, that they don't have? Glad to hear you're already thinking "more points".
