Me, DH, and two boys (ages 9 and 2)....there will be no romantic dinners, as the little one will be too small for any of the "clubs" and we don't want to have an in-room sitter

I may be only one in a handful of people out there but personally I really didn't care for the food at Chef Mickeys. I felt for $26.99 per person they could have had a little more to choose from. Although, I am not sure if they have the same selection every night so this may not be that big of a deal. I am a big fan of soup and salad with my meal and they only had one choice for soup and it was Minestrone, which I don't particularly care for, and the salad bar was not up to par by my standards- you know how most salad bars have a container of tomatoes, a container of onions, a container of cucumbers and so on, well they had a big bowl with all of the above plus a few more all thrown together. And the things like ham and cheese, well, instead of being shredded and/or chopped they were in huge chunks. There was not a big selection for kids, they had mac and cheese, cheese pizza, chicken fingers and mini hotdogs. There was also this type of pork chop or something with a brown sauce resembling gravy, oh my it was terrible, and neither dh or I could quite put our finger on exactly what it was other than horrible. The desert was good, big selection and they had great characters. I probably won't go back for dinner. Crystal Palace's breakfast was great, but I am not sure if you are going to be there during bkfast or lunch, if it is bkfast one word...breakfast lasagna.....verrry good! LTT is now one of our faves, very tasty and filling homestyle meal, very good character interaction. Enjoy yourself!

Here's my opinion:
Dec. 18th: Saturday.......Chef Mickey's 8:00 pm -- Skip for dinner. Was very disappointed last year. I'd do Whispering Canyon Cafe or O'hana's instead.
Dec. 19th: Sunday.........Crystal Palace 11:30 am -- Great place to dine.
Dec. 21st: Tuesday........Mama Melrose's 4:20 pm Fantasmic pkg -- I really enjoy the 50's Primetime Cafe @ MGM. Great food & service.
Dec. 22nd: Wednesday..Coral Reef 12 noon -- Was not thrilled with this place the last time. I would recommend Le Cellier or the Rose & Crown instead.
Dec. 25th: Saturday.......Liberty Tree Tavern 5:20 pm -- I enjoy this place.

Hi, I think your schedule looks great, I like not doing more than 1 sit down a day also. With kids you just never know where the day will lead.

What time is your PS for Garden Grill on Christmas? We'll also be there with our boys for Christmas Dinner, PS at 5:30 for the 8:15 show. It will be our first time at both the restaurant and the CP, can't wait!!!!

Just dined at Mama Melrose's in September and it was the most disappointing meal of the trip. We went to Fantasmic afterwards, and I was glad we hadn't done the package. If I had to do it again, I'd probably choose the Brown Derby, Prime Time, or Sci Fi (basic selections only, mostly for atmosphere). Mama's meal was fairly expensive and the food was mediocre at best. Our girls are older than your children, so they ordered off of the adult menu. Their vodka penne entrees were filled with grizzly meat (supposed to be prosciutto or Italian ham). I'm Italian, so I'm somewhat biased, but we have pretty realistic expectations when it comes to eating Italian cuisine out.

On the other hand, we LOVE Boma, LTT, and CP! Enjoy!
