My pre-selection dilemma

I had a not so great experience today when I popped back into the chat to inquire if there were any new times open for my pre-selected DAS. The ones that were pre-selected are definitely times that are not going to work because they are after we park hop out of our starting park.

I first inquired about my TT selection. It was pre-selected for 1:30 and the only time available now was 8:00 pm. I said "no thank you." Not realizing (maybe my fault- where is this stated??) that just by a CM looking for new times means they cancel what was booked, then look for a new time. Once she started to look, I'm guessing the 1:30 got booked by someone else, and then it was put back into the 8:00 time slot. She didn't tell me this. I didn't realize that it was actually changed to 8:00 pm until later on in the day when I was in MDE.

I popped back into the chat, and asked the next CM what happened and that is when she explained how looking for new times worked. I said I wasn't thrilled, but maybe it actually would work out. End of chat.

I went to MDE again, and the 8:00 TT was completely gone from my Future Plans section. I went back to the chat and the next CM said - "hm, no idea why. But TT is completely gone now and there is nothing we can do."

Do I complain? Push this? Bottom line - very happy my son is registered. But it is bothering me a bit that this mistake was made. IDK.....

FWIW...many DAS-holders don't end up using the Advanced Selections because the timing doesn't fit. If the 1:30 time didn't work anyway, it's probably no difference whether you had it that you wouldn't use or don't have one scheduled at all. Whether you want to complain or not is up to you to decide if the time spent complaining will be worth it (to get back a time that doesn't work anyway).

Thank you. Very good point.

I'm in my less than 30 day window where my Type A planning mind overtakes me and I start to get obsessive about creating the perfect day for my family/accommodating my sons needs. I'm getting very overwhelmed with the new Genie+, purchasing ILL rides, DAS, the price increases.........

Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited, but I put so much weight on the planning part!

You can just get a day of DAS return time for TT in the app once you tap into the park. That's what we did. We really didn't need to have any pre=selections on our last trip.
