Hi,
I thought I would give this my points a try.
Anyboby have any advise??
I've looked around and don't understand how 5 points here and there can add up.
I'm totally new to rewards programs.
Many thanks
Kim

Well it does add up. Maybe not as fast as you'd like.

I just looked over my weekly statements for the past few months, and it looks like I've been averaging about 50 points a week. 50 * 52 = 2600 pts. 2600 / 140 (the average redemption pts needed per $) = ~$18.50. Okay, that's not a high annual figure, but that's just for clicking email links and answering weekly surveys. Only takes a minute here and there.

If you shop through their site, you can earn a lot more points. In the past there have been some good deals (large points from Amtrak and Tupperware for small purchases), but they seem to have gotten wise to us, and now impose larger minimum purchase restrictions.

Still, if you're going to order the merchandise anyway, might as well get some points for it. Lots of people earn big points by doing their Holiday shopping through MyPoints.

I really like Mypoints. I used to do Milesource but I don't bother anymore, Mypoints blows them away IMHO. I joined about 2 1/2 months ago, and have already earned two $10 GCs and a $25 GC. I do more than read the emails and take surveys, though. It depends on how fast you want to accumulate points and what you're willing to do for them!

Most of my points were earned through the "Try It" offers. You sign up for a service or membership for a trial period, and you get points (maybe 200, 400 or even 1500). Plus most of these offer additional incentives. For example, I got 2 $10 Home Depot GCs plus 200 points for signing up for Complete Home, another 200 points plus a $10 Red Lobster GC for Great Fun, a $10 rebate on gas plus 400 points for Reservation Rewards (although I'm still waiting for those points:rolleyes: ), and 1500 points for trying a video for 10 days. The trick is, you have to be very careful to read the fine print. Make sure you know when you need to cancel by, and make sure you do it before you get charged a whole year's membership. If it is a trial such as the video 10 day thing, make sure you send it back within that time frame.

Then I ordered the video Ice Age for 1000 points, and have placed two orders from Tupperware for 800 points each. A little shopping at the Disney Store and Book Closeouts for 2 points per $ spent. Just a tip, make sure you save all of your confirmations in an email folder, don't just print them out. And also keep track of how many points you were promised and when. If there is a problem getting your points, Mypoints will ask you to email them proof.

I think it's a great rewards program. Good luck!

My Points has been very good to me over the years. I'm not very aggressive at either, but I always click on the email bonus mail links, I check the website for surveys and I have that shopping pop-up loaded on my computer that reminds me when I can earn points shopping. I used to forget to check the website when I shopped to see if I could collect points, but the pop-up reminder is very handy now. I don't typically shop online a lot but I accumulated quite a bit over the holidays this past year and they had a point special for holiday shopping so that helped. Just off the top of my head, in the past 6-12 mos, I've redeemed 4 $10 gas cards & $75 in Macy's GC's. Not bad for very little extra effort.

Not to mention-when you down load the pop up program-you get 25 points just for the download! Can't beat that!

I just started using My Points. I also use Lucky Points. I think both have their advantages...but I just called My Points and got great customer service and was very pleased!

I'm still saving so every point counts (my boyfriend thinks I'm nuts!)

I know you've posted the phone # before. Would someone be so kind as to do it again. I'm still trying to get points from early March & my emails have been useless. Thanks!
