Ok I think this will be our plan for MVMCP. Once we are there and my kids know were going then we can talk and change it some and see what characters they will want to see. But this is what I am thinking. Man 5 hours seems long but once you add in a few things there really isn't that much time to get much done.

We will arrive back in park around 5:00
We have fast pass to Buzz from 4:40 - 5:40
Check Santa's line when we first get in if we have time do that before Buzz
Ride Buzz before 5:40
Head to front of castle hopefully a bit before 6
Watch Frozen holiday wish 6:15
After take bridge to Tomorrowland to Cosmic Rays
Hopefully get something to eat there and be there at 7 when party starts
Spend some time at the dance party.
Then head to Fantasyland to see a character or two (non of the super long line ones)
Maybe do a quick ride or two, get cookies and cocoa
Around 9 head back towards Main street hopefully get a good spot for fireworks
Watch Fireworks, decide if we want to move out for a bit watch another show or just stay there until second parade so we ensure a curb spot.

The only free time we really have is from once were done eating until 9, after that its fireworks and prob not much time for anything else before parade without giving up a good spot. How does this seem?

Are there no popular party characters you want to meet?

We've only attended MNSSHP in the past, but we're going to use the same general strategy at MVCP. For us, we always grab food and then line up for our first character (usually the princes/princesses) at 6:30 then eat while in line. I personally wouldn't "waste" time sitting down and actually eating at Cosmic Rays if there are any party characters that you would want to see but for the wait. By lining up around 6:30, we're usually through the line by 7:05 or so, which gives us a whole party to go and do other things. You could watch the castle lighting, grab food to go, and then line up for a character, and then eat. I wouldn't put a priority on the dance party over a popular character.

The other thing we've done is eaten early, before the party, and then just snacked for the rest of the night.

Ive thought about the characters and like I said its hard to say who my daughter will really want to meet and were not telling her till the night before. But that being said I think meeting the Seven Dwarfs would be fun but I dont want to line up at 5:30 or 6 and wait for over an hour even if we are done by party time. Our kids are 2.5 and almost 6 and I know neither of them will want to wait that long. Jack Skeleton I dont know if my kids will care or like him. The princesses we will see at Cinderallas castle plus we have Anna and Elsa FP already. I think seeing Minnie in her winter outfit would be fun and then McScrouge duck with Donald and whomever else is over there. I just think we'll avoid the super top priority ones for trip while I know my kids are not paitent enough to wait. I may take your advice though and skip sitting down and eating a meal. Or just get something really quick. I think my kids may like doing the dance party though for a few minutes. Also I dont want to spend to much time walking all over the place so I was trying to stick to one area. Maybe we will even eat something in the room before we leave and just grab snacks. After the Frozen show at 6:15 head to some characters we may want to see. Maybe if we do that first then we'd have time to hit a dance party before heading back to the fire works.

Phineas and Ferb are the only two characters at the Cosmic Ray's dance party.

Clara Cluck is at the Diamond Horseshoe with some Country Bears. I've seen videos and I'm not sure how a dancing chicken is supposed to be festive. It is very rare for her to be out if that is a draw for you. But, it isn't much of a draw for others as Clara is usually in the videos dancing by herself.

It's just them two at cosmic rays? Maybe that isn't worth it then. Maybe if it's cold than it would be a good place to warm up. Thanks!

With reading everyone elses plans and what happens I think we are going to try and do this. We wont be seeing any of the characters with super long waits. As much as I'd love the see dwarfs I dont think my daughter will care to when I tell we will have to wait an hour in line regardless if its before the party or after. But oh well. We will figure out which characters we visit when were there and my kids know about the trip :)

Come back to park after break around 4:45/5
Use our Buzz FP+ right away
Possibly ride Astro, Monsters Inc or Test track depending on waits & Time
Grab a quick snack and Take to front of castle for show around 6 to get spot
Watch 6:15 Frozen Wishes
After wishes head towards Fantasyland. Meet a character or two, prob lowest lines or ones we haven't meet yet.
Go on a few rides with low waits ( thinking we will have from about 6:10 - 9 to enjoy whatever we want)
Around 9 find a spot of castle lighting and fireworks
After fireworks, decide to find parade spot or venture off somewhere not to far until we want to go back. But I am thinking we'll want to stay put to find the best parade spot. Maybe we will take turns taking kids into a shop or two or get something to eat?

How does this sound? It's hard to really plan out every detail with smaller kids and not knowing exactly what ride wait times will be or characters but I figure having at least some plan of the areas we want to be in will be good :)
