I know that people say that you can't give someone else your pin code. There does appear to be one way to get around that. Here is my experience...
My in-laws planned to go with us this past November. They received a Pin, we did not. As we all know, you can book up to 3 rooms per pin.
My in-laws ended up having to cancel because MIL was hospitalized with a broken ankle, and the doctor said it wouldn't be ready for Disney (this happened in July).
They cancelled their ressie at the 45 day mark. I called to see if we would be able to keep our Free dining from their pin. There was no issue with it.
So, seems like, if you know someone with a pin that isn't going, maybe you could get them to book one with you and cancel it later, and still get the deal for yourself.
Hoping for FD JUNE '14.
