My Picks...comments, opinions, even snide remarks appreciated

With the May hours finally up, I think I've got my plan together as to where we will be eating. My kids are pretty ordinary eaters(son is a pasta fiend..girls love all variations of chicken). Making the call for ADRs on President's Day so I've still open to any alternative suggestions. We are doing DDP...

Sunday...DS..lunch..Pizza Planet (a repeat as the kids loved it last time).dinner...50's Prime Time

Monday...MK..lunch..Peco's Bill...dinner..Crystal Palace

Tuesday..AK...just snacking...dinner...Hoop Dee Doo..hoping to get the 5pm show

Wednesday...MK..Cosmic Ray's....dinner...O'hana's (another repeat..my choice)

Thursday...DS....just CS...Backlot and Studio Catering...

Friday...Epcot...lunch...Sunshine Seasons....dinner...Coral Reef

All thoughts are appreciated!! I keep going back and forward about which park is the best to do CS all day. Oh, and we're staying at POR so eating at the Riverside Mill is also an option.

Just my thoughts, however I think you have some great choices.

I think your choices are all good besides you said your children enjoy certain restaurants, the way I see at it, it's their vacation too.

DH and I will be going with friends in 4 weeks and get to try out some new restaurants. When we travel with Grand-Children I usually do concierge, but it their choice on what restaurants they like and it's normally places like Pizza Planet or Sci-Fi. We do do a few Character meals though.

I know it gets knocked often, but I think Pizza Planet is great, especially for the fun atmosphere. As far as CS places go, Pecos Bill's is a good choice since it's different from the usual fare (you can get a taco salad, for instance, and the topping bar is pretty good).

Your kids will likely love the antics at 50's. They tend to pick on 'Dad' much to the kid's enjoyment. And the pot roast is the best ever.

I think there are much better restaurants at Epcot than Coral Reef...it's not bad mind you but there are so many great choices...the atmosphere at Coral Reef is great but the food is average....i would pick Le Cellier, Restaurant Marrakesh, or even Chefs Du France before Coral Reef.

My DW, DD's, DS and myself are staying at POR in August. I have already told my wife that I will not eat at any CS in Disney Studios. She agrees. Pizza Planet is OK but we much prefer the pizza at POR's CS. All the other CS at Disney Studios makes me wretch. So...

We are planning to go from Disney Studios to Downtown Disney in order to have our CS at Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Cafe Express. We love the food at these two places over any CS that is offered at Disney Studios.

Le Cellier is my husband's first choice but I think the odds of us getting in there on a Friday night is going to be slim. My ADR date isn't until next week. But thanks for the suggestions. I might be able to talk him into Restaurant Marrakesh.

While Sci-Fi is great for burgers, fries and shakes. Little ones love to sit in the car's. 50S prime time is also great for little ones. We have had some Magical Disney moments at 50's.

Many years ago with my 2 oldest GC. Older brother, younger sister, our cousin Carlos (waiter) notice brother was teasing sister and he had him stand with his nose to the wall. All the workers walked by and na-na-na-na him. A few years back took the 2 younger Grand-Daughters in October for DNSSHP. We dressed as a 50's family for the party. Later in the week we went to 50's PrimeTime for dinner. The girls were the hit of this restaurant, with their poodle skirts, shirts, ponytail ties and saddle shoes. They were paraded around the restaurant from room to room.

If trips are planned around your children with fun spots your going to have a fun vacation. Dragging children from sit down, to sit down restaurants just doesn't work. You need to give-in a little and do the things kids like to do. Another time after dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We checked out the Grand Floridian and the 2 GD had a great time loosing their shoes coming down the grand stairway.

I scrapbook all the memorable moments and give each child a book of their own after we return. The books bring back the magic. I also make books for my adult friends when we travel with them.

I would recommend Sci Fi, it's my boys all time favorite one and one they have already requested for next time. We also really liked Brown Derby, Goofy called my boys the table and they brought a phone to their table for them to talk to Goofy, he wished them good luck at RNR and Fantasmic where we were heading next.

We liked Biergarten and Le Ceiller at Epcot. We have been to Aquarium restaurants and Japanese steakhouses lots of time so wanted to pick different places.
