Some ppl enjoy having a special someone in vmk. Me for one. That is my rant, ppl who jump on the anti taken wagon.

I think he meant people he has no clue who they are.



Sorry if this is a dumb question, but you know her right? Because knowing someone and just meeting someone on VMK is different

What is the point of taken? Why do you want to "go out" with someone you've probably never met, and probably never will meet? Honestly, the concept is creepy, you could be "going out" with some 50 year-old guy and you would never know the difference.

If you want to play taken, go ahead, but in my honest opinion, it's just pointless.

I agree, but, someone COULD be going out with someone they know in real, and that person HAPPENS to play VMK. I'd totally understand that. I just dont like it for the fact people walk over to you and ask if you "taken". Thats pretty much why I hate it, otherwise, its alright with me , as long as it doesnt bother anyone.

I can relate to all of those in some way. I can't go to the blue bayou to get my daily credits there without being asked "are you taken?" or "Wanna go out?"

Me too. I only get asked that if I have dream ears on, though.

Whoever said that the Ignore button is your friend, I agree.

SkippyPaul, I don't get your position. Are you against "taken" for people that you don't know in life, just randomly met on VMK? I am. Trust can build up and people can be wierd and ask for phone numbers. I also think it's annoying.

If you know someone in the real, and you want to be "taken," I'm fine with that.

1) People who start threads about topics that have been discussed repeatedly, just to increase their post counts.

I agree, this is quite annoying. If you aren't trying to boost your post count, don't be so lazy as to fail to even bother searching for an old thread that may have the answers you want inside.

2) People who "bump" threads that have lived out their usefulness, just to increase their post counts.

Agreed again. What really bothers me is when people bump old threads that are from like 3 years ago... read the dates, really.

3) People who complain about everything without accepting opposing views or helpful suggestions, just to increase their post counts.

Again, I agree.

4) People who use the Disboards forum to chat with others instead of using the chat room or private messaging, just to increase their post counts.

Sometimes I do this, but not purposely. It's usually just a joke or a little sarcasm that needs to be posted

Many families play VMK. Just because somebody says Mummy, Duh-Duh, baby, kid, etc does not mean they are pretneding. I call my daughter little princess, baby girl, and a number of other endearments but she can only call me mummy as the game dos not allow for much more.

the one of those 4 that annoys me the most is #4. Specifically, on the "Last one to post thread". Im not mentioning names, but some people don't go there just to post last, they just chat, which annoys me alot.

i agree somewhat with bytheblood, as my 11 year old brother and 9 year old sister both play VMK. I call them "Brother" and "Sister", and some people think i am pretending so i tell them i'm not.

ok how about people that join a game and and wait until you say enter the haunted room to get your ghosts and then say "how do you play this?" Please read the directions befor joining a game and the game starts!
