Ok, I'm glad I found this. Now if I put myself out there maybe, just maybe that's what I'll need to get to my goal.

Last July I started dieting and lost 40 pounds. I took a little break and gained 5-10 back. My scale needs a battery and I'm waiting for DH to get some. So that is my guess. Everything still fits so I know I didn't gain that much.

I still have about 40 to go. So, please watch my thread, ask how I'm doing, tell me I'm doing a great job, and keep me on track. It's what I need to get this happening again.

I will let you know how it's going and if you want to know what I'm doing, what's working, just ask!

I'd like to reach my goal by Thanksgiving for our next Disney trip.

Welcome!! You've come to the right place. Keep on journaling!

Ok, I know this may sound weird, but I'm starting Wednesday and NOT Monday. Why? Because every single time I try to start on Monday I just can't make it past breakfast without slipping up. So.....Wednesday is my day to start.

So, one last day to eat, not gorge, try some of the things I know I will miss while I am on my healthy eating plan. I will no longer use the "D" word.

I've learned some great recipes last year so I won't feel "Deprived" (different "D" word) over the 4th of July weekend when we are up north at the cottage with the family.

Why is it, if we are trying to lose some weight and we don't partake in all the goodies we feel sad and left out? I don't get that. I wish I could understand that. As long as I keep my body nurished I shouldn't need anything else or extra. What makes the mind so powerful that although I feel full my head is screaming MORE! MORE! MORE!????

So, here's to me. Wish me luck!

umm, so I lied.

How can one just start a diet without the proper food in the house, without making sure the improper food is gone. That being said, we, yes my DH and I went back on our diets today. Hey, it's Monday. Wouldn't you know it.

I did manage to get through breakfast and lunch without slipping up. The trick is, getting through the next four months.

Still haven't gotten those batteries. I think I just don't want to know what I weigh. As long as these cloths fit, it can't be much of a gain.

Goals for the week: Getting in my water requirement, family walks each evening, AND NO CHEATING!

Hi and welcome to WISH! This is such a supportive place. I am glad you found us! :)

It's funny about the scale. Ours is so "off", it is practically worthless! I have been weighing myself on the scale outside of the GNC store in the mall since it is extremely accurate. It costs 50 cents to use it though so I don't do it often. I am way too cheap! I really should get a new scale, lol!

So far I have 3 days behind me. 3 cheat free days. I just want to have the 2 weeks behind me. Then I'm in for sure. Why do I doubt myself? I guess I'm just used to failure. Not that I'm expecting to, but just used to.

Getting those thoughts out of my head. No more room for them.

I finally went to CVS and bought the batteries for my scale. So, I was able to confirm that I only gained about 5 pounds. Not too bad. Felt like more.

But that doesn't include if I lost any these last 3 days of dieting. Usually going through cleansing I lose about 8-12 pounds in 2 weeks. That's just the way this diet works. Then after that it's about 2 pounds a week. If I plateau, I just cleanse for 2 weeks. I call it cleansing anyways. It really takes away the carbs.

So, my goal is another 40 pounds. I am going to lose 40 pounds this time. I am going to lose 40 pounds this time.......

Here's to me. And please stop using the D word already!
