Ok...its not much, but I feel good about my 'pay it forward' of the day...
I was coming home from Target when it started raining pretty hard. Down some back roads, I saw a middle aged woman humped over, wet and limping. I drove slowly passed her as to not splash up water on her, and I looked at her face. I don't know what made me feel it was 'safe' because I was alone with my DS, but I backed up and asked her if she wanted a ride.
She apologized for being wet as she got in the car and apologized for messing up my seat, and apologized for looking the way she did and apologized for me going out of my way for her.
I told her it was fine..the rain came out of nowhere, the seats wipe off and she was on my way home....
She was carrying a Kroger bag with 2 prescription bottles in it... and she was complaining about not feeling well and her feet were killing her. She thanked me repeatedly for that mile drive and when I pulled her into her driveway, I saw a broke-down car with a handicap bumpersticker. She said "God Bless You" and I told her to have a good weekend it was no problem.
Pay it forward is one of my favorite movies, and a wonderful motto to live by. Our local radio station was filling peoples tanks as a suprise and asking them to pay it forward how they deemed fit today.
I think if everyone did one small good deed a day, the world would be a better place. It makes the receiver grateful, and it makes the giver feel good.
I'm going to attempt to 'Pay it forward' daily with some simple task. I challenge everyone here to do the same

: You made my day.
She was so thankful and told me a few people had passed her by. So I took her to the nursing home and she called family from there.
. I am a true believer in what goes around comes around. Someday we'll be judged by our works on earth, no matter how small the contribution. Godspeed ^i^
