...out of the hospital and back on the pulpit!
Some of you may know him, he has a worldwide ministry on the In Touch Network, Dr. Charles Stanley.. (BTW the President announced that he listens and reads his messages!)
Well, he's been ill for 4 months and though his replacement was a nice guy, Dr. Stanley's teaching was something my whole family looked forward to every Sunday. No one would tell us what was the problem, all we knew was that he was "ill"...
My sister goes to the early sermon, usually letting me know if he is there or not there via cellphone. We went anyway but saw the disappointment in most of the people who came from out of town, some from out of the country, to hear him speak. He's is very dynamic and didactic.
Michael would sit and wait for his aunt's call every Sunday. The call came yesterday telll us "HE'S HERE!" and my 11yo son nearly knocked down everything gettng himself dressed! We went to the early service just to see if he looked okay.
He was thinner but still looked good. I could tell he was tired but he had a message that just shook us all.
We do learn from our trials, sometimes it's important to sit down and be still and reevaluate our lives.
I needed to hear that, and it was sooo good to see him well and back.
God bless,
Robinrs
