My parents got a new television last week

If the OP would let us know what manufacturer and (preferably) model of the TV is, we can give specific help.

Remotes are so different between manufacturers, and menu structure on the TV will be different, it's really hard to give accurate assistance.

Mom finally figured out how to work the remote control today and it turns out there is a favorites button on it and Mom put our favorite channels on there and made it simple to use. It also turns out that with our new TV we get more channels with our antenna because with our old TV we had about 30 or 19 channels but this new TV gives my parents more channels with our antenna. The brand of TV my parents have is an LG TV and it's great. Tomorrow I'm finally getting my new TV set up which is better for me because I will have more streaming apps to look at
