We are going to the World in September and i was thinking about getting a MPM for my 3 year old son. I was lookig online and found that the darn thing is like 65 dollars. Even on ebay the thing is at least 50. Is this worth it for my son? Is there a cheaper place to find one? Someone please help me:sad2:

I was fortunate to find one in 2005 when they were swapping them out for a new style for $17 so I'm very biased. We think Pal Mickey is hysterical and love bringing him to the parks. Hes a good deterant from DD4 wanting to buy every plushie she sees because we have him. She also used him as a pillow in the stroller. We don't really pay attention to his "tips" for the rides but loved the trivia about the parks and the jokes (after POTC PM complained that Capn Jack had called him a bilge rat) because they are really entertaining. At home we take him with us to the Disney on Ice shows and DD does like to turn him on and play with him from time to time.

So I guess, to answer your question, yes, we enjoy him very much. Would I pay $65 for him? That depends on the amount of disposable income but we find him highly enjoyable and can't imagine visiting the parks without him.

I got mine (sorcerer mickey) from e bay a few months ago & paid $39 incl. shipping. If you keep watching, every now & then, you might find a cheaper one out there.

Thank you all for your post...I think I will keep looking for DS for he will need a stroller companion and who better then Mickey Himself???:goodvibes

I bought my 6 1/2 y.o. DD one, plus a few outfits.. for full price.

She loved her Mickey and it really got her more into a lot of the attractions because Mickey told her about them. She felt more involved because she could tell us what he said, and repeat his corny jokes. When she was tired, he was a comfort item and when we had to wait, he was the entertainment. I would have paid $200 because that is how much I feel like he enhanced her vacation and made it easier for ALL of us.. ( I'll admit it- she can be whiny).

I dont think a 3 year old would get so much out of it, beyond it being a talking Mickey, but he sure taught me stuff I wouldnt have known, so it may be worth it to you. Plus the games might be a bit hard for a little one...
