Girls, I just have to share what a fun weekend we had! Off Kilter left the World of the mouse to come to our local Irish Fest. This was their first time back to our fest since 2005 and we had an amazing time! DS impressed them so much with his kilt and bodhran. :shamrock: At each show he was dancing and drumming right along. :lmao: We were lucky enough to get seats in the front row for each show, so Jacka used the space between us and the stage as his own little stage. After each show we went to talk to the guys and they treated Jacka as one of their own (talking music with him, giving him "dog", complimenting this lucky green boots, etc). Needless to say, he was on cloud 9! :cloud9: When we asked if they had Off Kilter t-shirts small enough for him they said, No, but drummer Scotty Z ran to get a special surprise for Jacka...he signed and gave Jack his drum sticks! :goodvibes I am doing a seperate scrapbook just for the Irish Fest (and the many Off Kilter photos!) I cannot wait to get started and post pictures!

The next time you are in Epcot check out their show in Canada! They totally rock! :dance3:

How exciting... had I know you all were going and that Off Kilter was there, we would have drove in town!!!!

It sounds like you had an awesome time! Congrats to the little one.

Please do next time...

I'm 3rd generation Irish (my grandma was the first generation born here of immigrants) but because her parents died when she was a teen a lot of the information/culture was not passed on.. :(

Both sides of my family are from Ireland, my Dad's from Co. Caven in N. Ireland. My Mom's from central Ireland and Scotland. It has been interesting to learn more as time goes on...plus it is too cute to see Jacka in his kilt! :goodvibes

This weekend at Appleworks in Trafalger is the Highlander Festival. A great local band Highland Reign will be there as well as some re-enactments and lots of kilted men. We will be there on Saturday and then again possibly on Sunday...that is my special day, so not exactly sure what is planned. :goodvibes

Ok, you must be from the IL, OH area because a very good friend often goes to see them when they get out that way. Sounds like you had a great time.

Wow what a treat for you DS...we love seeing them at Epcot!!

My mother's father was from Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan! Do you have much info on Co. Cavan, unfortunately we don't. I would love to know more about the area. Maybe we are related. :) Her father was the last child of 11. :scared1:

That is nice Off Kilter was so good to your son. Love their music and now I love them for their kindness. :)

I don't know too much about Co. Caven. It seems to be hard to find information. I know that my family has a castle there, but it is not intact. When I was researching a vacation to Ireland I looked up the County, but there does not seem to be too much there.
