We've been back for a little bit.. but boy, that 24 hour car ride sure did me in!
10/28
Counter Service: Starlight Rays Cafe.
Over all: 2 and half mouse ears.
From all the pictures, the place that we wanted to blow our counter service most as Starlight Rays. Which seemed like a good idea at the time because the train that drops you off in Toon Town in MK, really isn't far from there at all.
By the time we walked in the 90 degree heat, everyone wanted to get in the cool air.
Starlight rays servers burgers, chicken and ribs. A big hit with my husband. I ordered the half chicken to share with my daughter, my husband ordered the chicken /rib combo plate. My three year old had peanut butter jelly with grapes.
For my personally, I thought this was pretty meh. I've had better food in high school. The chicken was not seasoned what so ever, but it had no real flavor. It may as well have been boiled chicken for all that it tasted. Everything was very bland and plain.
My husband loved the ribs.
Table Service: 10/28: Whispering Lodge
Over all: 3 and half mouse ears
Before I start this review, I want to say. I love love love the food here!
The only downside is that we were dining with a toddler.. Whispering lodge has a play center with lincoln logs for the guest to play with while they wait.
Problem being, as soon as our three year saw them, he was done with.
He didn't want to eat, he wanted to play.. So our meal got cut very short.
That said:
Both my husband and I had the All-you-can-hold- skillet. AMAZING. I've never tasted ribs as good as those in my entire life. I am not a rib person either!
The pototes were super. The chicken was very nice, and the brisket was okay. MIL makes brisket so, this wasn't going to come close to hers anyway.
I got an milk shake (which could have been endless). Which was very good.
We had to get our dessert to go. I had the kahula chocolate cake, husband had the Bourbon Pecan Pie.
My cake was probably the most excellent I had our entire trip.
My husband however wasn't too happy with the Pecan pie.. which tasted too much of Bourbon for his taste.

Table Service: O'hana.
Over all: 3 mouse ears
We originally had reservations at Kona. However the guy at Kona couldn't find them (they were very empty), and was very rude. Since O'hana had no wait, we decided to switch over.
You start your meal by taking a picture which was semi annoying for us. She wasn't satisfied with how the toddlers positioned themselves, so that took a few minutes. Toddlers with no notion of wanting to have their picture taken when breakfast and mickey await = not good.
The end picture was really terrible in a comical way.
The service really stunk.
That said. The bread they put on your table is so delicious! Yum! Later on, we also got some fresh fruit which the kids enjoyed. My husband and I were also big fans of the juice! The kids didn't really care for it, which was a surprise.
The rest of breakfast was okay. The waffles were small and hard. Bacon was as you can suspect. Bacon like! Eggs were pretty runny. The big thing here is not so much the food, but the characters. The characters here are AWESOME.
At one point my husband had to run back to the car to pick up the camera. Lilo came by. When I told her that my husband would be back with the camera, she kept circling around until he did. Stitch was also pretty cute. He kept trying to get the kids to smile with him, but my daughter wouldn't look at him.. and my son wasn't sure what to make of him.
Counter Service: Artist Palette Saratoga springs:
Over all: Mouse ears 3
Pretty standard as far as counter service goes. Somehow I got mixed up that we should have the pepper market which was Coronado springs.
We ended up with half a roast beef sandwich and soup. Chili for my partner, cream of rice for me.. which my daughter loved. I'd say this is compartable to Panera. Our son had a PB&J again. Fresh veggies.
10/30
We skipped counter service all together this day, since we had a late breakfast lunch at the hotel (cereal, fruit. Things we used our kitchenette for..etc.)
Table Service: Teppan Eddo
Mouse Ears: 3 and half.
The food here is by far one of my favorites. Both the kids however completely disagreed and once the meal was started they wanted to go. The older child went with my husband downstairs, where I was left trying to package food into small boxes with a squirming one and half year old.
They also did not include our desserts which we were on the DDP for.
At that point, it didn't really matter.
The food itself was cooked to perfection. If you are going to epcot, I'd highly recommend going here!

Counter Service: Pinocchios village Haus
Over all: 2 and 3/4 mouse ears
We choose this not because it looked good, but because it was close.
Our 3 year old had the pizza and carrots which he loved.
I had the chicken nuggets with fries. Again, pretty standard but good.
I want to say that my husband had a sandwhich of some sort from here, but I couldn't find it on the menu at all mouse ears.
The really neat thing about this place is that you can see people enter its a small world if you get one of those tables. Pretty neat.
Table Service: Captain Jacks
Over all: 1 mouse ear
This is a shame. Really. In 07 we went here and loved it. I've read various reviews since that have warned this place is on a down trend. But we went anyway since we were planning on T&T in Downtown Disney (big mistake), and it was close.
The thing that we loved most, which was the artichoke dip, was ok. It is the only thing with cream cheese that my husband will touch. No lie. It was off this time in texture, like it had been sitting out too long almost.
I ordered the crab cakes. Husband ordered the shrimp pasta. My son had the hot dog.
Crab cakes were okay. The artichoke that it was finished with was limp, cold, and disgusting. But the crab cakes themselves were alright! My daughter thought so too. ;0)
My husbands penne however was pretty awful. The sauce was super watery, bland and just gross. I've seen better things come out of a T.V. dinner. The shrimp ontop looked good, but it was ruined by the sauce that touched it.
My sons hot dog.. was something neither one of the kids would touch. I seem to notice that it was a whole wheat bun. Which was slightly stale. I am guessing the hot dog was an actual turkey dog. My daughter who will eat anything, refused to have anything to do with it after the first taste.
Service was not great. She had forgotten my husbands soda, twice, joked with him once about it.. but was not seen again.
The manager was super nice. She decided she wouldn't charge us for the meal since almost all of the food but the crab cakes that my daughter and I ate, and some of the appetizer went untouched.
Went back to our hotel. Went to Artist palette to get my son and daughter something to eat.

Table Service: Floridan Cafe
Over all: 4 mouse ears.
Ok. Originally for our last day, we were supposed to eat at 1900 grand park faire. The line at opening was out of control. we decided to give the cafe a shot, and they got us right in.
I had the Lobster Eggs Benedict, my husband had some kind of steak with a frittata on the side. My son had the mickey pancake.
First let me say. I hate eggs. hate them. So why in the world would I order something that was mainly egg? Because I love Lobster.. and my husband pressured me into it. And it was really tasty. I ended up putting the egg off to the side, eating the "bread pudding" with lobster. Completely tasty.
My husband meal of which I also had a small bite, was out of control good. The steak was cooked perfect everything blended so well together!
The only thing we were disappointed with, was my sons "meal". It was a single mickey mouse pancake. That's it. We asked for a side of a fruit, and our waiter gave it to us no charge.. which was completely sweet.
Our service was also amazing.
Over all, this trip the places not to be missed: Whispering Lodge, and the Grand Floridan Cafe.
