Had to speak to a Christian womens group this morning. Decided to wear a new pair of shoes that I bought last week for I would look really spiffy :smooth: Never worn them before. So put them on in the kitchen, went straight out to my car in the garage and headed to the meeting. Halfway up the sidewalk to the building...I discovered my left shoe makes this noise.. :sad2: :sad2: phhffft....phhfffft.....phffftttt... and the more I walk.. :sad2: :sad2: the louder it becomes...ppphhfffft....ppphhhhffft.. :sad2: :sad2: all the way to the podium in front of 400 people....pppphhhhft...pphhfffft :sad2: :sad2:

Sounds like a pad sprung a leak.

I had a pair of boots like that. The crazy part of it is that I didn't notice it for like a year!

When I first bought them I always wore them to work. I was working retail at a mall, so it was always loud, never noticed it. When I got my office job, you guessed it, I heard that noise every day! They were great nine west boots, but they have since been retired simply b/c of the phffffft.

I am going to refrain from beandip sandwich comments. :rolleyes1

Sprinkle some baby powder into them and swoosh it around. That usually takes care of those shoe noises.

...your mouth has sprung a leak as usual...

does 5 qualify as evening?

Remember the episode of Seinfeld when George bought the "swishy" suit?!?

That's the mental picture I'm getting with the shoes... :rotfl: :rotfl:

:confused3 I'm serious. The pad in the shoe can have a leak and then it will make that annoying sound.

Go away Briarmom. :earboy2:

Me too! :rotfl:

See, Mich, if you had worn the orange ones, you wouldn't have had this problem.

I don't post a lot on this board (I have been around reading for a while tho!) and this may be a little off topic, but I think those blue guys in the beginning of Michie's post are hypnotizing me. I can't look away.

Sorry about your shoes though!

Do you not post a lot because you often find yourself in a trance-like state awaiting further orders, or because you have nothing to add?

Because if you're awaiting orders, there seems to be an unusually high number of DISers who seem to have problems with their neighbors. You could become a board favorite.

Maybe you could turn that frown upside down, by using the negative energy you have from your shoes, and use that for mean post Thursday night?

I'm not at liberty to say.
