Well its been almost a month since I started teaching at a High Tech HS and must admit I have been enjoying it. The staff here has been very helpful to me in assisting me with lesson plans, syllabi and references. The principal has treated me very fairly and her vice-principal has done everything he can to make me feel welcome.
The students here are very good as well, some are very bright and others are very gifted. The only difficulty I have is keeping my Homeroom in line for 14 minutes a day(but even they are not that bad)
I must say after seeing some students I am afraid about the future. I fear one day being in a retirement home and needing something from a nurse who'll tell me "if I beep her again, I may be beeping for my life!"
Seriously though, between the clothes they wear, to the values the keep the future does have me concerned. It definitely a change from when I went to school(and I am not that old)
Oh well having fun and trying to get a hold on C++ programming for the AP Exam
