My new iPhone 3G thread

That.... that right there is an honest response.:lmao:

There are two kinds of people....those that have an iPhone and those that want an iPhone.

Sent from my iPhone while eating a Mickey bar and getting ready for Wishes.
(Ok....not really. I'm sitting at my computer eating a banana and waiting for John to finish working so we can watch TiVo.....but I wanted to sound like I was doing something really cool and posting from my iPhone)

Ooohhh... what did you TiVo?

My favorite part of the new iPhone is the part
where Apple can kill any app and remove it from the iPhone,
REMOTELY!!!!!!:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: And for no real reason too!!! :woohoo:

Kevin, there are actually 3 types of iPhone people, those who have one, those who don't and those who never want one.

And who says Apple doesn't have a a sense of humor!!!!

ah iPhone jealousy, I now realize thats what I had when I used to slag it off!
Now I have 'Kevin Jealousy', as even tho he admitted that wasn't the truth, it could be at the drop of a hat!!

:goodvibes

I think all us iPhone owners need to start including a tag line in our posts "posted by iPhone". ;)

(no not this post - this is from my MacBook Pro)

I so agree, I got my last Tuesday and I love, love, love it. Love to hear what everyone else is getting from the apps store - so far I've gotten:

phonesaber - silly but fun
jawbreaker - old time came that I've always enjoyed
Arcade - hoping it will keep my friends kids occupied when we go out :lmao: cro-mag rally - just downloaded today but so far I like it - but I'm not so good
showtimes - very handy

Still trying to determine the best currency converter and tip app to download

A friend recommended Pandora but haven't tried it yet.

So, what do you have????

I recommend CheckPlease for tip app

And I love

Near Pics
Enigmo
Pandora
Shazam
MLB At Bat
and WeatherBug (thanks for reminding me Kevin)

shazam is good, as is midumi on a similar note.
Pangea VR is impressive to with 360 degree photos - just hoping some Disney scenes are added soon :)

:goodvibes

I'm distressed and hurt by iPhone hate speech. :sad2:

There are many worse things in which I could (and have ;)) taken pleasure.

It's just soda....

I bit the proverbial bullet and got an iPhone. 16gig white.

But I had to be a total GIRL and get a pink case for it. :cutie:
I haven't downloaded any apps for it yet. I think I need an apps primer where people can tell me what's so great about them.

Oh, and I hated having to enter my contacts again by hand. And I can't figure out how to sync my bluetooth earpiece I had from my old phone to my new one. It does that "searching..." thing and won't sync.

I ordered a hot pink case for mine. Can't wait for it to get here. I also discovered the anti-glare film, which I like a lot better than the crystal film I used to use on my first gen iPhone. It doesn't show the fingerprints nearly as much.

If you read the descriptions and reviews in iTunes, they are pretty accurate, in my experience. I found a great one for DS, who has Type 1 Diabetes. It is a restaurant listing for many fast food and chain restaurants that gives nutritional information for all of their menu items. So, even if I am not at that chain, I can use the info as a reference to help me decide the carb count for most anything he eats. I have a website I have been using, but the app is much faster to access (almost instant) on the iPhone.

All kinds of handy and, let's face it, just plain entertaining things out there.

Congratulations on the new iPhone.

Do you have your contacts on your computer? Depending on how you maintain them your iPhone may load them automatically. We use Mac's at home and subscribe to Apples ".Mac" (now MobileMe) service. Our address book (and calendar) on the Mac is automatically uploaded to the iPhone over the air. The day I bought the iPhone, all I did was to enter my .Mac account info and 10 minutes later all my contact and calendar stuff was on my phone. Hadn't even gotten on the road home yet.

It took me a few tries to pair my bluetooth earpiece the first time. I must have been doing something wrong, but darned if I know what. It did finally work. However, when I set up my wife's it worked immediately. Like I say, I don't know what I did differently. Give it another try.

No I didn't post this from my iPhone.

Welcome to the iPhone side of life! :thumbsup2

And i'm with you...I had to be a total girl and get a pink case for mine too! Mine's the old iPhone, but i'm happy with it...for now! I'm sure they'll release a new version about the time i'm ready for an upgrade! Then DH can have new iPhone envy while he suffers with his old school 3G! ;)

Sigh, no. I only had the phone numbers on my Razr phone. I never had contacts on my PC. I think that might be a good idea, though. I declined the MobileMe service because it just didn't seem like I'd be using the features on it.

I'll try syncing the earpiece again, who knows? I'm wondering if the one I already had for my Razr is just not compatible. In that case, I will buy a new one. It's stuck in "searching....Now Discoverable" mode. I wouldn't think it would take more than a minute to "find" it.

Yay for the girlie iPhone users!

I would have bought the glare film, but the Apple store was out of it. I'll check with my AT&T store, too. I need to see if I need the darn bluetooth upgraded, too. :headache:

can you not use your razr to copy your contacts to the sim, then when you put the sim in your iPhone go to settings and copy them from the sim? That's what I did with my old nokia n95 :)

:goodvibes

I'm also a girlie iPhone user! Mine has a neon pink case! I have all my WDW/DL/CA parkmaps downloaded to it already, as well as the DIS on my first page! It is kind of a pain in the butt having to redo all your contacts and favorites though. The camera is amazing, better than any other phone I've seen - I can't wait to go snap happy in Disney with it!

the camera, while not being especially bad, is probably one of the few downsides for me, tho I did get the iPhone after having what I consider the best phone's camera :)

Do you remember the name of the app, I'd like to check it out. I've seen a couple for diabetics but I think I missed this one.

Thanks
