Brooklyn is a CUTIE!!! Those chubby cheeks are just begging to be kissed.
Your cousin would be your first cousin. Your first cousin's child is your first cousin, once removed. Your child and your cousin's child would be second cousins. Confusing? You bet!
To figure out what relationship two people have, start by identifying your nearest shared ancestor. For instance, you and your cousin probably share a grandfather. One generation down from = siblings. Two generations down= first cousins. Three generations down = second cousins. Four generations = third cousins, etc.
When the two people you're comparing are not the same number of generations removed from the ancestor, the "removed" stuff comes in. You and the child of your first cousin are first cousins, once removed. You and the GRANDchild of your first cousin are first cousins, twice removed.
It would make more sense if I could draw a picture...
Anyway, Brooklyn is just as cute as she can be!
