My Neighbors.. Again.. (long)

For those of you that remember.. about a month ago, i posted about my neighbors.. if you want to read the long drawn out story with no punctuation or paragraph breaks, here it is.. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=870489

anyway, so here is the update.. we got back from WDW this past wednesday.. so, yesterday my dh and i go outside to try and clean up around the pool a little bit, and as i walk down the deck stairs i say.. "wow, something stinks, something smells dead" walk a few more steps and there is a dead cat under our deck.. it's orange.. our neighbors have 6 cats and two of them are orange..

i tell my dh that we have to tell them.. their cats are like kids to them.. (we haven't talked to either of them since "the incident" about a month ago..) my dh says to just call and leave a message and be done with it.. but, i didn't really want to leave a message on their machine telling them that their dead cat was under our deck.. i wouldn't want to hear a message like that about my dog..

so, i decided i would just watch for them to come home and if they got the mail or something i would walk out and tell them.. so, she gets home first drives straight into the garage.. i wait a few minutes and call.. no answer (shocking right?) so, i wait another 10 minutes and he comes home and stops to get the mail..

i walk out on the porch and ask him if he's missing a cat.. he says yeah for about a week now.. i told him that i had tried to call their house and tell his SO but, she wouldn't answer and he said that she probably wouldn't answer.. so, i told him the cat was under our deck.. he walks over to me and says.. "i'll get him and bury him.. thanks.. also, i'm sorry about what happened" i say "yeah, what exactly did happen?" and his response? "i basically stabbed you and dh in the back"!!!!! so, he told his SO that WE were the ones that blabbed to him about her (she got pregnant with someone else and had an abortion), when really what happened he snooped through her things and found out for himself..

i'm so shocked.. i can't believe he did that.. so, he stabbed us in the back, and she still believes that.. because, she won't talk to us..

but, anyway, who cares.. we are done talking to them etc..

You have done the right thing. Just leave them alone. They have made some choices that have left them with miserable consequences and it's easier for them to put some of that blame on you. Try to forget about it.
