I'm with you! I love that I already know what I'll be able to ride. I guess I'm not being entirely

Through all the negativity in these threads this was a shining light because it was an honest answer.
. You don't think people on the other threads were being honest?Another thing I wanted to mention... FP+ really synergizes well with rider swap!
I booked a single fast pass on SM for myself, after which my wife and DD5 will be able to walk to the front with their swap ticket. Immediately after, DW and DD5 have FP+ for Thunder Mountain after which I can go with DD5 again.
Same thing with Speedway... I'll use a single FP+ to ride with my DD2 (we also have a 1 year old that wont be riding) after which my wife and DD5 can use the rider swap pass. In the end, we all essentially fast pass that ride for one FP+ reservation
you could do that with FP- as well.
you could do that with FP- as well.

especially at Epcot. We're not huge Epcot fans, so we typically only spend one day, and sometimes as little as 1/2 day there during our stay. With the new FP+ system, if we want to ride Soarin and Test Track on the same day, without waiting in standby for a LONG time, the only option is to be there early at rope drop. You hit whichever you don't have FP+ for first thing. So the abiltiy to book FP+'s for later in the day does nothing to help sleep in at Epcot (or HS)
It was a pain with FP-, since you were at the mercy of when the return times happened to be when you went to pull your pass. Now you can plan it into your whole schedule seamlessly.
The thing that is the biggest issue for me is the tiering, especially at Epcot. As my wife said when I first explained this system to her..."Sounds like this system is great for people who only want to do one thing per day. Otherwise, you still have to arrive early." Of course, the math does support the idea of tiering, so perhaps the solution is to require tiering for the first three pre-booked FP+s, and then, if park attendance (or FP+ distribution) warrants, after 2:00 p.m., additional FPs could be acquired without restrictions as to tiers or repeats. If the ride can handle more people, and people haven't gotten their FPs by 2:00, then open up the flood gates (and let the super-users have their fun). There, I said it. There's been so much negativity about the new system, that I thought it be good to create a "safe environment" for those who enjoy the changes.
Go on, it's okay to like changes. I'm going with my family of 5 at the end of April and already know that we can ride Toy Story Mania in the afternoon, even if my 4 year old sleeps in super late after staying up for the 9pm Wishes show. How cool is that?!?!
I'm going to be able to walk onto ETwB without using up 45 minutes of our valuable morning touring time! We can reserve some great rides in the afternoon when we typically do the crappy rides / shows because of the waits... Previously we'd have to hope that we timed the FP- just right to get a 3:00 slot (which would often mean an otherwise unnecessary trip to tomorrow land late enough that the morning time slots were gone, but early enough that it wasn't pushed out to 7:00pm) that doesn't interfere with our ADR!
My name is Texas Crude, and I like FP+!!!

I'm happy for you. If that's how you feel, then that's great.
But if you really wanted to keep this thread a safe haven, then you probably shouldn't be snarky and imply that people who don't like FP+ are just afraid of change.
