My drive home tonight was very snowy too.... I wish I could hop on a plane and go to sunny WDW.
Lexi is hoping for a snow day tomorrow.....probably not going to happen for her.
Hope you get yours!
Those soaps look very pretty. They must smell awesome!
We got ours, and tomorrow will be iffy. I really want to go tomorrow in hopes that I can go ahead and use all this food in my lesson. If not, I'll have to rebuy some next week.
I'm with you on that hopping on a plane idea!
I'm glad you made it home safely. Our roads got bad quickly. It took me a long time, but I made it. Did Jill get snow?
She did, but not as much as predicted. They are having a snow day, too, though.
I guess you'll have to put it in the pot for #3!
She has her hands full now, but I really hope when Bella is a year or two older, they will have another one. Maybe Brandy's lively crew will convince her that three is a good number.

She came from three and John came from three, so I am hoping they will think three is a nice-sized family.
Of course, if three turns into four or five, I'm good with that, too.
We are getting snow now, but it is not sticking yet. Our temperature tomorrow will get high enough that even if we have several inches it will melt quickly.
I hope you get your snow day tomorrow, and the food keeps until Friday then you will do an outstanding job on your observation.
As math department head I was trained to do observations when needed. I hated observing my fellow teachers. I was lucky the times I was called on to observe, the teachers were wonderful. I also felt they were a little more relaxed with me in the room, especially the math teachers. I loved mentoring new teachers each year, and having student teachers. They usually came in with new ideas and it gave me a fresh look at teaching methods. I miss the students and the teachers, but I do not miss the paper work.
I know some of this food will be good until next week, but some will have to be replaced. The tops of the carrots are already looking a little weak.
I do love the teaching. Watching the kids so excited yesterday at what the zoo people were showing them - that was so fun for me. It's all the paperwork, discipline problems, and testing pressure that makes being a teacher not so much fun sometimes.
Teaching and
being a teacher are two very different things in this day and time, unfortunately.
Just a dusting of snow for us -- much like the sugar on a powdered doughnut. I have a feeling we are trudging in this morning. Enjoy your snow day! I almost wish we had one, too, just so I could catch up on the DIS.
Nothing better than a sleeping girl who has had lots of fun at Disney!
You are powdered donuts.
We are frosting on a cake.
At least we're not a big bowl of ice cream, like some of our northern pals!
She was a zonked little traveler that night.
No snow day for Lexi......
Off to work I go....
Be safe.
Move down here, and you can get some snow days!
Snow day for MeMom?
Great DTD pictures, the one of Brooklynn sleeping, map still in her hands, made me smile.
Sorry to hear about the rough day with the fighting kids yesterday I only ever remember one fight breaking out in all my years of school....I have a feeling that even though I only graduated 14 years ago, it's changed a whole lot....and not for the better. Sigh. Makes me nervous to send Henry out there!
Yep, but the sun is out now, so maybe it will melt enough for us to go to school tomorrow. Snow days were fun at first, but now people are tired of them. Teachers and kids still like them, but parents have been tested. There was a church sign someone put up on FB that said
'Whoever is praying for snow, please stop!'
I have been at my school for about 16 years. I have seen drastic changes in attitudes and behaviors of students. I am becoming more and more and more supportive of the homeschooling experience for many reasons.
I guess all the snow stayed in Nashville. We barely got a dusting. I am happy though. If I do not work, I do not make a living. Work is a necessity. Sorry I have been away from the boards. I have had two kiddos sick now. Cooper now has a fever. The boys' birthday party is on Saturday so I hope he starts feeling better tomorrow. I have been running around like a mad woman getting stuff together for the party. It is cowboy theme. We are making the cake. I will post it if I remember. I hope it turns out well. My first fondant project. I am sneaking Disney into the party. I am using Jessie, Woody and Bullseye as part of the decorations and I am giving Mickey suckers, Mickey silly bands as part of the favor bags.
Too bad we don't live closer. I could spend my snow day doing birthday party errands for you. I'm a good goodie bag stuffer.

You have to share party pictures, even if it takes you a little while to get around to it, since we know you are so busy.
I hope the boys are feeling close to 100% by party time.
I am glad Drew is feeling better and,
no MeMom, doctors do not find things wrong. We just bring to light problems that are going unrecognized and could be potentially fatal.
I knew I was going to be in trouble for that one!
