oh my memom, sorry to hear about your fall are you alright or (all right) now? That cold weather was a mess...I didn't think I would have to deal with those lows since I wasn't in Wisconsin anymore.

I am officially caught up here, now to get ready for work. On happier note, next Saturday I will be waking up at Disney! Even though I have to continue on with the tasks of the real world, least I have the benefit of waking up in Disney for 2 weeks! Its our family Christmas present from my Dad. Im so excited. I'm gonna get me some Mickey waffles

Hooray for two weeks in Disney World! Even having to go to work, that is still super exciting! I'm anxious to see pictures and to find out where you end up eating Christmas dinner.

We stayed busy with Brooklynn's dance recital most of the day - rehearsing, gathering stuff together for the show, getting lunch, resting a few minutes, then back for the show. We got barbecue for supper afterward. It was fun, though, and we had a lot of laughs during the day. She was tired. She fell asleep in the car on the way to the show. She was kind of a zombie walking in, but untrue to her normal self - hard to wake up - she woke up nicely and did fine for the evening.

MeMom you know I can't wait to get there to shop! I'll be talking to you real soon!

I'm excited that we both get to see Trent this week.
Since I'm out of school, I'll be able to keep up with your FB updates.

We all met at MK the next night. I flew in the night she was talking about and I did not or was not able to catch up with them so I teased that I knew where they weren't.


Enjoy your time in the mouse house. Even if you have still have to deal with the "real world".

it'll be like im actually "living" at Disney...lol since it's not an actual vacation. One day though I plan to have an actual authentic Disney vacation.

Jill had desired one last visit to Main Street Bakery to end the trip.

Many things from which to choose.

As you know, they boarded up our old secret place where we used to enjoy mid-morning cinnamon rolls, so we found a new one.

Since they aren't selling hot dogs yet at this time of day, we ate right here.

Bella had a place to move around and Brooklynn loved the movie screen.

So, if you can't find a table at Main Street Bakery in the morning, you can probably find an empty bench at the baseball field.

After munchies, shopping continued. Jill had leftover 'percentage off' coupons, so she gave them away to people who were checking out.

These little friends are waiting to be adopted by a family. I wonder how many of them went home that day.

Some of the important townspeople were out and about greeting folks.

The time had come to say our last goodbye for this trip.

Walking away from this beautiful place for the last time is no fun at all.

So long, Disney bus!

Isn't it funny which pictures can fill a person with intense longing to be somewhere? Out of all the great pictures you posted, this one made me miss the Magic Kingdom so, so much! I think it is because I love the feeling of anticipation when I am standing outside the MK waiting to be let in on a summer morning.

I hear you about the craziness out there. Charles called Friday when I was on my way home and said, "I have this wonderful idea..." Well, his "wonderful" idea was to finish our Christmas shopping Friday night. I gave in to him, but it was crazy out there. My only reprieve was going to the Disney Store -- it was like a little piece of paradise right there in the middle of the madness.

I am loving every single picture!!! I am at the point where I really need a Disney fix and pictures make me feel like I am there!

Funny thing happened last night. Do you have a sec so I can tell you? I went over to a friend's house for her 40th birthday party. They love Disney like I do and I started talking to my friend's husband about the Disboards. He said he reads them so I thought I would put it out there (as a test) if he knew who Memom and Jill were. Sure enough he did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look, we have friends in common! The funniest part was he mentioned the name of this trip report which cracked me up since his 4 yr old son calls my Brooklyn...Brocclyn (for broccoli) too!!! We both thought that was funny!!!
Hope you are enjoying your Christmas break. I am so jealous that you get two weeks off. Obviously, the Grinch did our schedule and our first day off is Friday and Christmas is Saturday. But don't worry I have everything under control! I loved Brooklynn's dance recital pics...she is so cute and clearly enjoyed herself up there! Hey, Jill, is it ok if I make a cupcake Christmas tree too? We all just loved yours!!!!

I don't plan to venture further than a mile from my house most of this week. I have a Kroger with a gas station, a Target, and even a Kohl's within half a mile, so anything I need or want, I should be able to get without fighting the horrible traffic.

The school my kids grew up at has their 7th and 8th graders come to my school to sing carols with the kids and bring small gifts. It's always an exciting event for us.

I didn't take any pictures of our Japan stuff for Culture Week. It was such a slipshod thing that we put together so quickly in the midst of testing and getting the Christmas program together. It wasn't picture worthy. Maybe next year, if we have it at a better time, it will be nicer.

Our Christmas program - I do have pictures of those, but I didn't really want to show a crowd of faces, just in case. I felt okay about the one I did show of the 'Christmas buddies' with mostly side views, though.

Next up, a little preview of what is waiting for the girls at my house.

A whole gang of Disney pals have shown up at my house to help me get ready for the season.

Mike and Sulley brought some chocolate reindeer.

Baloo and Mowgli have cookies to share,

but Abu has been trying to hide the fact that there are Christmas tree cakes.

No cakes here!

Dory was very excited to find Disney candy canes.

She keeps forgetting where she put them, though. Hopefully they will still be here this weekend.

Beast said he'd be in charge of making sure Santa knew to stop at the houses of all good little boys and girls.

Dumbo flew in with brownies.

Tigger and Pooh, in from a recent safari, have these waiting for Jill and John.

Jill gets the peppermint bark, and the Nerds are for John. Buying candy for him is easy. He likes it all.

Eeyore and Piglet enjoyed finding these treats and spending some friend time together.

Mickey and Minnie are in charge of filling stockings.

This is the newest member of the Disney Christmas gang.

He was on sale for what I thought was a very decent price at Lowe's, and I just really like him. He reminds me of the window display figures in Disney World so much. Since we couldn't go this year, this was my consolation prize.

Stitch couldn't refrain from getting in the ribbon. He hopes he won't get coal again, like last year.

Chip and Dale helped with candy bags for school.

Cheshire Cat is in charge of cards. Here are two of his favorites.

Eeyore did his best to help with lights.

I'm not sure if Mushu should be trusted with this.

Someone at school gave it to me, and it will make a whole lot of s'mores in the next two weeks.

Jiminy Cricket and Owl are helping me to be wise with my money.

Last, but not least, here are the presents.

They are all for Brooklynn and Bella. I ended up wrapping everything separately just to make it look like more. The movies that were in the stockings are now in boxes, as is the candy. They'll have fun opening it all, I think.

Next year, we're hoping to do another Christmas to New Year's trip, but for this year, this will help bring Disney smiles to the girls (the little ones and big ones), and the boys can do their usual eye-rolling at our silliness while they wolf down all the food.

I bought a few things off the Disney store site myself just last week, with the 2 for one deal on stuffies it was hard to pass up!! Your summer trip has me longing for warmer temps… We only had a two hour delay Friday, but they say snow on Christmas so that is special.
