Hi everyone,

Im not normally one to post things about my family, but I do feel like you all are our second family. My MIL passed away this evening. She had cancer and faught a great 18 year battle with this disease.
We are so releaved she's no longer in pain. But just don't know what to do next.
Can one sprinkle pixie dust on themselves?

Thanks everyone.

Sara

Sorry for your loss.. A loved ones passing is hard but even more difficult during this time of year.. Obviously, she was a strong woman to have fought off Cancer for 18 years, may your family find the strength to get through life without her and believe that she is no longer in pain..

Sara, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my MIL last year... it's so difficult.

18 years is a LONG time to fight cancer; she sounds like a strong lady.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my MIL to complications from cancer. Your family is in my thoughts.

:grouphug::grouphug: so sorry for the loss of your MIL. Prayers to you and your family :grouphug:

Sorry for your loss.

It is hard to know what to do next after your MIL was so much a part of your life for all those years. Know that after a while your pain will lessen and be replaced with smiles and fond memories as you go on.

When I lost my Dad a couple of years ago I was surprised at the mix of emotions. On one hand I was relieved, and on the other hand I felt guilty for feeling relieved. He had lived a long active life and his decline was difficult to watch. In the end he was in a nursing home not able to do much at all for himself. He was clearly ready for it to be over but it was still hard when the 2:00 am call came.

I still wake up sometimes thinking I have to do (or forgot to do) something for my Dad. But I do have lots of good memories of him.

My thoughts are with you and your family. My MIL is fighting cancer again right now. Sending love and pixie dust. :grouphug:
