I understand what you are going through as I went through this with my mom 5 years ago and my dad this summer. Talk to your mom because even though she can't respond she'll know you are there and will be comforted. On one hand, I know that you want it to be over quickly and on the other, you don't want to say that final good-bye. I found that death, when it finally came for my folks, was actually very peaceful and beautiful. However, I believe that at death we are reunited in heaven with God and all our loved ones. I will be praying for that same peace for your mother and you!
