I posted here about our cat that went missing a few weeks ago.
well.....
The cat died in my neighbor's barn. She called this afternoon saying she spotted her and she wasn't doing well, she saw her yesterday but didn't realize it was the cat in the flyers in the neighborhood, she called this afternoon after going out to find a flyer ( she didn't realize it was my cat til she spoke to me) I called her back and heard what she said and rushed over, my poor kitty had already died. she had probably passed away this morning or last night by the way she felt
I feel so horrible. I can't believe the cat was right next door. I was calling out for her everyday in case she was close by, but I never saw her. I don't know why she didn't find her way over here, unless she didn't want to
I feel sick.
the neighbor also said she saw her a few weeks ago by the barn, but didn't think anything of it because she gets cats in her barn all the time........but I had flyers ALL OVER the neighborhood.
I put the word out, but she didn't realize it was the same cat in the flyers, til the cat came in yesterday almost deceased at that point.
so I was too late, I just feel so horrible, I can't stop tearing up.
I am trying to hold it together because the kids were very upset. they are doing better now, but I can't stop thinking about it.
every day I called out for the cat, looked around the woods here and up and down the street in case, and never once spotted her. I can see the neighbors barn from my back porch.
I think it is more horrible that she came so close to getting home.
I would rather have not ever known what happened to her.
