How did you make out with the silver aluminum tape? Was it hard to work with? I'm seriously thinking of trying this with some pressed flowers, but the silver tape is a total unknown to me.
I've seen various methods, but this seems to be the easiest - DD wants to do these. Will she be able to do it do you think? She's 13 & does do crafting with me.
the silver tape is very easy to work with. the roll I bought at the hardware store is probably an inch and a half wide (maybe 2) so you have to cut it into strips but it cuts easily (and you can actually rip it too). my 9yr old could do it, if she were so inclined so your 13yr old would have no problems. it's very fun. my next project is going to be xmas ornaments (I'm going to try putting 2 together and then hanging them the other way (so that the wire is on the longer side) I thought I would make the teacher a few ornaments with some of the cute class pictures. maggie
A couple of questions. How do you attatch the wire loop? And can the slides be found locally, or do you have to send away for them? I'm thinking my DD 13 would love making these! And I might make a few myself. They're cute!
hi, I bought the slides off of ebay (buy now option) and it seems to be about the price as actual on line stores. I have not found the darn slides locally. I just bent the wire so that it goes down along the sides a little bit and then taped over it. (does that make sense?). the silver tape came from home depot (plumbing section). it really is very easy. maggie
