Almost two years ago we were forced to say goodbye to the last of our previous cats (Io was almost 21, Bibi had been about 18 when she died the year before). We were heartbroken and didn't see how we could go through that again.
Just over a year ago, about a week apart, we adopted 2 adult Maine Coons (4 & 7 yrs old) given up by their former owners. A friend of ours, knowing we loved Maine Coons (Bibi had been one), called to say a vet friend of hers had a Maine Coon come into the office for adoption. Being an adult, he didn't stand a big chance of being adopted. Not liking the alternative, we took him. A week later, another Maine Coon came into the same vet - the rest is history.
We re-named the male B.G. (Big Guy) as his name had been 'Tigger' (ALL DISers know Tigger is not predominately black - without a trace of orange). He can be very vocal.
B.G.'s picture That plant shelf is 9" deep to give an idea of how long his leg is. While he is NOT at all brave (scares
very easily), he is extremely curious - an interesting combination.
Mimi is now 8 and makes the
tiniest squeaks. Unless one is looking at her, you don't usually know she has cried. She is a cuddler who LOVES to be combed.

We do have a link to our cat pictures (all 4 cats) on our
web site. That is a picture of Bibi on the home page.
