My Magical Journey to Running the Half Marathon TR Link! p.107

Oh, I'm not worried about Glenn! :rotfl: He just didn't use any emoticons and I wasn't sure if he was being serious or not. That's all. ;)

Glad I can be generally inspiring. :cool1:

lol...it's funny how we depend on those emoticons to convey our feelings...

you ARE inspiring...now if I could just be inspired enough to get off the couch and get something to eat....;) oh....wait......I am getting up.......I am walking....I am opening the pantry.......soup it is............

It's very true! When we lose a person's inflection in their speaking voice, those emoticons are extremely important. However, sometimes they can be misleading. Like when someone says something really snarky but then puts a :) or a ;) .

There ya go! I don't think I'm very inspiring tonight because I'm on my second glass of wine. :rolleyes1

I am guilty of snarkiness occasionally....:flower3:

Ooo...a beer doesn't sound bad right now.......

Great job on the run!!! You are doing 15 min miles (a little faster!) so that's not bad!

Amanda

I don't believe that!

I haven't had a beer in a while - not even a Guinness. :sad1: I've switched over to wine recently. Actually, until recently, I hadn't had any alcohol at all since Chuck left.

Thanks Amanda! Actually, I'm doing faster than 15 minute miles because I include my warm ups and cool downs in my workouts. :thumbsup2 But, I'd much rather be doing 10 minute miles.

I have been lurking around these parts...but had to congratulate you on that milestone!! That is HUGE running 4 miles!! :cool1: Such an inspiration! I'm hoping once this move is over and I'm settled in Texas I will be able to get back to a very strict training routine!!!!! YAY for you!!!!!!!!!!

Hurray for running four miles!!! That's awesome!!!

Love the dress -- I bet it looks really cute in chocolate brown!

Thanks Jackie :goodvibes Chuck says I look good in brown so I thought it would be a good color to go with. But, I like that it has a splash of hot pink along the bottom to brighten it up.

Hey Jen! Good to see you here. :thumbsup2 Thanks for the encouraging words. When do you move?

For sure! I'm picky about what kind I drink (not picky as in expensive wine, but I really only love Moscato) so I'll bring my own. ;)

And I as well. Unlike most folks I like mine on the sweet side; and have been told that that makes me an "immature" wine connoissure. To which I swiftly reply with... - never mind....

Same exact way! I hate dry wines and don't even like red at all. Moscato is usually considered a dessert wine, but I think it's becoming more popular. I first was introduced to it in Australia and that's where our love affair began.

Hi....

YAY on the new mark being reached that is awesome...

and I love the dress...is it bad if I love the shoes more :rotfl:

J~

Hiya, I've been reading your updates. Congrats on the 4 mile mark! Its a great accomplishment : -) I'm doing the half marathon too. I made myself a deal that if I got so far into the training schedule & I still was committed then I could register. I did on Sat! You get total kudos for registering early on!! Way to keep at it!

Congrats on the 4 miles! I need to get back out there myself. I'm planning on a run tomorrow morning and I'm a bit nervous because I've taken a couple of weeks off:eek:

I just found your thread yesterday and have already read thru the ENTIRE thing.........needless to say I haven't gotten very much done in the last two days at work :rolleyes1:

Anyhow, your story is AWESOME and very motivating. Keep up the great work and when you get in that "funK" and don't feel like doing the workout for the day remember how you felt in your W6D1 post:

"I wasn't feeling very well last night and into this morning. I didn't want to get on the treadmill, but I never give myself that option (unless I have a migraine or I'm really sick - which hasn't happened yet). Today was run for 5 minutes, walk for 3, run for 8, walk for 5, run for 5. The first 5 minute run was kind of tough as I just felt very tired and blah. But, once I warmed up, the rest of the runs went well and I actually feel better now than before I started. What a crazy concept!":cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
