My Little Project

I just put together a pair of overalls for DD for our day at Animal Kingdom. I can barely sew, so I was pretty happy with how they turned out! Just wanted to share...they're almost done except I'm going to have MIL embroider "Jambo" down the leg.

How did you do the top part?

I basically cut out a piece of the background fabric by tracing the bib of the overalls. Then I traced and cut out a Mickey head out of the yellow fabric and used Durabond (an iron on adhesive) to attach it to the bib piece. Then I used a "tight" zig zag stitch on the machine to sew around the Mickey head.
I sewed button holes on the bib part for the buttons to come through and then secured the whole piece to the overall bib.
