Great update Nichole! I can't wait to hear what happens next! I think I know, but you never can tell with these cliffhangers!

Sorry about the attitude! I'm not looking forward to that part of my kid's growing up! I still just have the "mopeys" to deal with every once and again! Those drive me insane enough as it is - I don't want to even think about how aggrivating the "whatevers" will be!

The BBB makeover looks great! What kind of dress is she wearing? It looks very pretty!

Its not a dress just a skirt & top with Tink on it, we got it in Disney store last October before our trip.

I was so dissapoint when she decided to have and attitide on a trip that was just for her . I would rather deal with the mopey's for sure.

Sounds like a great day . Pity Kaylee chose that morning to test the boundries but hey they all go through it....Becci's just turned 12 and thinks she 16

Glad to hear this is just normal and she's not just too darn spoiled .

Great update !Woohoo for the dream thats great that you didn't have to rush around. I have two daughters and I think that they just like to push and see what they can get away with glad she got in a better mood.

Thanks, It was great not having to be stressed about what we would get done during spring break at MK. I am too.

My ticker keeps doing that too. That's when I noticed your also does it. Just the mickey factory ones.

Something might have just set Kaylee off and it could have been the feeling of being overwhelmed. Did anyone say anything to her when she went up the wrong way for the dumbo ride? I know when I was that age, we have it on video that exact situation at Universal Studios, all of a sudden I was in a mood. Even today i remember what it was. Not realizing, I went behind the ropes at the flintstones exhibit, and a team member "yelled" at me. I almost cried but I didn't, and for a while I was in a mood because I was embarassed.

Anyway, dream fast passes?? how cool! I cant wait to see the next surprise!!!! HURRY!!!

Yes a CM yelld at her since she was practically running just like all the other crazy people. Kaylee is easily embarassed and sometimes will cry in that situation. Thanks for mentioning that. She very well could have been overwhelmed too. Funny when I ask her she doesn't remember even saying "whatever" or having and attitude. Guess to her it was no big deal. I will update Tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest.

Jumping in on the fun & Lovin the TR so far! The countdown calendar was adorable. How did your DH make the stroller id's? I think they looked awesome. Looking forward to reading more and I am so happy that you won the FP's. What a nice surprise. Cant wait to read more!

As for the Resort choices, I will throw a new one into the mix - I *adored* CBR when we were there. Plus it will have the brand new pool in September which is supposed to be awesome.

Like you, I like the tropical side of CSR, but I am not a big fan of the south-west theming or the Ranchos section. That alone decided it for me.

CBR is nothing but tropical. Absolutely beautiful. I was amazed that I liked a Moderate so much.

I was actually looking forward to reading more on your take of a comparison between the Deluxe Poly and the Value Pop. I actually thought it would be quite comical as I would not have pegged you as someone who would tolerate a Value very well...maybe that is coming up?

I am actually staying at the Yacht Club in June...can't wait. And one day soon I hope to get back to the Poly. But in the Moderate category, it is CBR all the way for me!

Thanks Mo, Glad to see you back on DIS. If you were at 50's PT I would have happily shared our cake with you . I'm not ready for Kaylee to have a 16 YO attitude yet . Seems like yesterday she was only 4. Winning the Fastpasses was great!! I never win anything, now I did.

Thanks Diane. She didn't seem thankful at all while we were on PP. But she did thank me and gave me a hug several times over trip, which was nice. Kids always want more though . Thomas right now is pretty thankful but he is spoiled too. He just wants everything in the store. Getting closer to your trip. I can't wait to hear all about it and how you like AKL too.

Thanks, I haven't ruled out CBR either. I would have to have a preferred room though. I can't wait to see the new pool there. Since you love Poly and like CBR that might not be a bad choice for us.

As far as liking Pop, I was only there 3 days so it was fine. My DH sayed I complained but I guess that is normal for me . I didn't think I would like it all as I've only stayed deluxe so it was a big change. Pop had it's good points and bad points like anywhere else. The rooms were small and the walls were thin I could our neighbors having a party late at night. It was a kid group (sports). The furniture & beds were not deluxe but did the job just the same. There were alot more people everywhere (seemed like a variety of people too) at this resort but everyone was happy to be there. ALso the CM's were great!!! I never encountered a grouchy CM at Pop. We loved the store there, it had everything. Also the food court while quite crowded had good food and service, I was surprised. The kids of course loved the giant icons, mostly Thomas. Thomas loves Pop and doesn't even want to see WL pics or to even go back to Poly which has his favorite ride the monorail. I guess since we still rode it that is good enough for him. Anyway I would stay at Pop again for a shorter trip. I just like to relax more so for a week long trip I need a more comfy bed and relaxing atmosphere.

I'm sure you will love Yacht Club and June is not far at all. Let me know how it compares to the Poly. I would love to stay at Yacht Club but it's not in the $$ this year. Please do a trip report.

Honestly, I feel all the talk about how the resort is so large and spread out is really overstated.

If you request one of the areas close to the Food Court and Main Pool you will have a good shot at getting it. We weren't that close, but had just about the most beautiful 10 min walk each morning over the Bridge to the Food Court each morning. Honestly, it was one of the best ways to wake up.

It's all how you look at things...is it a 10 minute waste of time or a glorious 10 min walk in a tropical setting that you don't have at home to build the excitement levels and get you hungry for breakfast?

...and as for the June trip to the Yacht Club - yes I am excited. I keep switching between Beach Club and Yacht Club, but I think I am down to the Yacht Club now so that I will have a guaranteed large balcony to sit out on each morning and evening.

...however, I am far more excited for our week-long May trip. I am running the Minnie! My first ever race. I am sure that I will likely do a TR for this one. However, we are staying at a 2 bdrm Marriott condo off property (the horror!)

A preferred room at CBR is in Martinque or Trinadad North which is very close to the foodcourt and main pool area. More like a 2 minute walk. I'm a rope drop kind of girl so I like to be up and out of the resort early . It would still be 2 double beds unless you book a king bed. Even when we are at Poly we like the Samoa Building since it's next to the pool and it makes it easy to run up to the room for anything while you are taking a break. ALso a 2 minutes walk to GCH to catch the monorail.

If I were you I would stick with Yacht Club, they say it's a bit quieter and yes you will have a full balcony. Wow your running the Minnie ! Please do a trip report. I really want to start working on getting inot better shape to be able to do the race or Disney marathon. As far as the 2 bedroom condo, who knows you might like it. I would even try that once just to see if I like having a bit more space, sounds really nice actually.

The crowds were not that bad until Saturday afternoon and evening. We left MK before Spectromagic ended because it got so packed and crazy. We didn't even want to try to stay for Wishes. We just tried to avoid the crowds whenever we could. We did have and awesome time, wish I were still there .

MK DAY 2 PART 2 Another Magical Moment !!!


When I left off we were lining up in Toontown with just 2 other families. Then I noticed there were CM's and a camera crew taking some pics in front of Toontown, then they went into Toontown. Alot of other families walked up waiting for rope drop too. When we had about 7 more minutes a CM came over and told us all he had a trivia question and who ever answers it right gets a special prize ( all I could think was the Castle but of course that was not it, but a girl can dream). The question was "what year did MK open". I guessed 1970 I'm sorry I'm not good with dates but I was close. Tom guesses 1971 and he was right!!! Thank you honey . He doesn't really know much about Disney or Walt, but it just seemed like I had to be close so he guessed. No one else even tried to guess so they must have had no clue.
Anyway we won the prize and got to be Toontown family of the day!! Sounds great to me. The CM opened the rope for us only and we got to walk down the street in Toontown alone with the CM instead of racing to Barnstormer which I dreaded. The CM took pics of us and lots of the kids. When we got to Barnstormer Goofy was waiting out front .

The CM aksed if we all wanted to ride with Goofy we all were ecstatic. The CM asked which child is riding with him. I couldn't not say Kaylee since it was her Birthday today and she skipped a couple ride she likes to line up and race to Barnstormer. So we both said" Kaylee", after all in a year or two they won't pick her and she proabably will be too cool to ride with characters. Though part of me wanted Thomas to have his turn (Kaylee has rode a few rides with charcters before) and I know he really would have been thrilled to sit with Goofy. Also he is not competitive enough to race other kids and get to ride with Goofy.

Goofy takes both kids hands and walks to Barnstormer with them all while acting Goofy of course. We took lots of pics, most of from the back. But the CM's were taking pics too so I do have some photopass pics I have to buy since they also got some of us on the ride which is nice to have. Kaylee rode in front with Goofy and Thomas a bit reluctantly rode with his daddy. I rode behind them so I could take pics, duhh I should have rode with Thomas so I could see how much he was enjoying himself. Tom doesn't ever realize how important this is for moms. Anyway it was so fun being the only ones in Toontown and getting to ride with Goofy.

After Goofy walked the kids into Toontown Hall of Fame to take some pictures. It was really fun watching the kids get to interact with Goofy.

Next Pluto and Donald came in so we got to see them too.

The CM's took lots of pics and then gave us 2 photopass cards with all the ride photos on them. Then we thanked Goofy and the CM's 100 more times. We were very happy this morning. I still can't believe we won a Dream and a Magical Moment. Obviously I got my wish that Kaylee have a very memorable day on her Birthday and she certainly did.

Just a couple comments... Kaylee looked absolutely beautiful after her she was all princess-ified! And dream fast passes! AND Toontown family of the day! This is shaping up to be a birthday to remember for sure!
