my little pony

Are you talking about where they build their own My Little Pony by picking out as much pony stuff that will fit in a box? If so, then YES! My DD4 had the best time with this. They have princess hats, crowns, capes, raincoats, shoes, hair accessories, furniture, etc that they can pick from. We didn't do it in DTD. We did it in the store near Goofy's Barnstormer in MK. :cheer2:

I agree. My DD4 could have spent hours there trying all of the different pieces on the ponies. My DD7 and DD8 also enjoyed trying on the accessories. We could have fit more pieces in the box, but DD4 just had to get the pony so she could play with it back at the hotel! She really enjoyed it!

so if I decide to do this. should we bring our own pony so she can fit more in the box? Is it just like a regular pony?

Yes, bring your own pony if you think she'll want to play with it there. The box isn't huge but some of the items are largish, so being able to leave out the pony will allow her to choose more toys/outfits - enough to make a difference, imho.

There is a similar deal for Potato Heads, which we love. Same deal - if you can bring your own head, it's worth it. If not, then fill the one you get there with items before you put it in the box. :)

hi! Not to sound STUPID but what is this place you are talking about? My DD4 LOVES my little pony pony craxy and my dd6 is also fond so would love to know exaclty what you are talking about!!!!! thanks!

What was the cost for the build your own pony? My dd would love this and I'm having trouble finding a cost online. I did find pics of Once Upon a Toy Store and I highly doubt we'd be leaving there without buying anything! Talk about a child's fantasy land! If it's too expensive, I'll know to keep dd right away from that store!

I had loads of fun putting a box of goodies together for my daughter. This is an awesome place to get a gift for a little princess. The cost this past December was $18. I was able to fit two ponies and a ton of accessories into the box. I got at least two of every small accessory and a couple of the large items (i.e. bed, radio, mirror/vanity).

This was so much fun for me as a Dad, so I can bet it would be wonderful for the child! :thumbsup2

Remember to stuff all the little pieces into the larger one, and I thnik the table comes apart. I don't know if they still do this but they sold us the pony and some of the large item separate for $3.00 or $4.00. Have fun!!!

Oh, I have a question, i was just reading this post i've never heard about this but i have 3 little girls, and this sounds neat. So for my 3 daughters, and if we bring our own pony(we have plenty) would i need to buy 2 boxes or should 1 box be enough. Thanks

I surprised my daughter in her easter basket with a box of stuff. She played with them all day and ever since. If they are into the my little ponies they will for sure love the stuff that goes with it.

If you bring your own ponies, I think 1 box would be enough if you are just getting clothes and accessories (shoes, hair clips, hats, etc.). If you plan on buying furniture, too, I think you might need 2 boxes.

We didn't get any of the really big stuff, but we fit 2 ponies, lots of the smaller stuff (mirror, bed) and TONS of clothes. They have Mickey/Minnie ears, princess dresses and hats for most of the major princesses, hair clips, brushes and combs, etc. I think we probably got enough clothes to outfit ALL zillion of DD's ponies! Also, don't forget about the Potato Head parts!!! They are my favorite souvenir ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never heard of this before, where exactly is this ???
What kind of ponies ??? Is the official " My Little Pony" toy line ??
Is it a stuffed pony or plastic ??
I'm just curious, my 2 DD's would love something like this !
Thanks for any answers !! princess: princess:

It's at a store in Downtown Disney called "Once upon a Toy". It's at the back of the store (look for a hot air balloon- it's over the table). There is a large circular table seperated into bins. There are princess dresses, Mickey & Minnie ears, ear shaped sunglasses, teacups the pony can fit in (like the tea cup ride), bed, vanity, popcorn cart, hats, shoes, Mickey balloons (fits onto the teacups), blankets for the ponnies, 3 or 4 different ponies, Minnie skirt, and more (that's all I can remember!). The ponies are official hard plastic MLP.

The boxes are more slender that the Mr. Potato Head boxes, but you can stuff & stuff! The CM that checked me out went & stuffed more into the box before she rang it up. If you already have ponies, it makes sense to only get the outfits & furniture. That's what I had planned. But, try telling a 5 year old that she can't have a new pony to go along with all of her new stuff when they are surrounding her. So, we got a pony too. ;)

FYI--- The guy there helped us take the table and such apart so we could fit more in the box. We brought ponies since they are the same ones you buy in the store at Walmart. The accessories were the coolest. They are all Disney stuff. I would only get a pony if you really needed it and stock up on all the outfits and such. I sat on the floor and filled the box as my daughter brought it to me. Another mom was starting the same thing as I finished. It was fun for both of us. Be sure to check and make sure you have all the pieces you want before you leave. Our box popped open at the register since we had large furniture items. The guy helping us said oh, good thing you already paid.......we were just finishing up. He was awesome. They love to help there. Have fun. It is a lot of fun!! Good luck. :wizard:
