We did a family 5k today, and our 3 year old actually walked and even ran some of it, but never needed the stroller or fussed to be held. I totally expected to need to use the stroller, but he surprised us! We are so proud of him!!!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

That is soooo amazing! :thumbsup2 My 11 year old just ran his first race today too, a 10k. He did awesome and I'm so happy for him and for you and your little guy! :)

Thanks so much - that is so great about your son!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's cool!!!

We want to do the family fun run at Disney in October and I'm so nervous that DD (she's 5) won't do it.
They still want you to maintain a pace of 16 minutes per mile. I don't know if she can do that.

We have a local 5K on May 15 so we might try that one first and see how it goes.

I think it helped for our little guy to see other kids walking/running, and he completely absorbed the spirit of the event. I'm positive your DD will totally get into it at WDW! Good luck - it was so great to see him pass the finish line!:thumbsup2
