My lips are so chapped..help!

About a year ago, I discovered THE BEST product for chapped lips. It is called "lip apeel" by BeautiControl. It's a great company, based out of Dallas, TX and they have wonderful spa products like this lip apeel.
Lip apeel is a 2-part parafin treatment for your lips -- you do the parafin treatment, wait 5 minutes, wipe it off, and then follow with the vitamin c and citrus-infused lip balm. It is amazing how great your lips feel.
I know I sound like a commercial, but I am completely sold on this product. I live in Chicago, so we really need this product here. It can be used on kids, too.
I loved it so much, I joined the company just to buy my skincare and spa products wholesale.

Well for one drink LOTS of water. During the winter most people don't drink nearly enough water.

I definitely second that!! I make sure to up my water intake in the winter- it helps my skin, my lips- everything. I still use chapstick (it's easy ok!) but carmex is my fav. If I'm desperate and have a cold, I'll also put it on a raw nose

I agree that chapstick is the worst thing you can use. I like the Neutrogena lip stuff. That works great for me. Oh, and the more you lick your lips, the more chapped they will become.

I agree that Vaseline is best for chapped lips. I put some on everynight before I go to sleep. You can also buy little Vaseline dispensers which is similar to a lip gloss for day time use.

I love carmex and I also agree with increasing your water during the winter. It seems to help.

Hi, I read this before I went to bed last night. Here is what I tried. I have cream to help with cracked nxxxxxx. You use it when you first start breastfeeding. It is to help heal them. It's called PureLan, by Medela.
It works!

Take a look at your lip products ingredient list. It is amazing how many use phenol, camphor, etc. which are very drying products. These are the ingredients that make that tingly cool feeling on your lips. And they are drying. It looks like some companies use the trick of saying the product will moisturize and it ends up drying your lips out, so then you buy more and blame it on the weather, etc!

My cure for chapped lips is zinc oxide at night. My dd's call it the white stuff. Put it on at night and in the morning your lips are much better.

kiehls lip balm. It's a miracle cream. totally worth the $5 and you can get it tinted.

Vaseline makes an overnight lip treatmemt, it comes in a small, purple tube... great stuff!
