Where did you find what your flower girl wore? What color did she wear, white, or your "colors?" I have 2 flower girls and a junior bridesmaid who will all be wearing the same thing and I'm struggling to find something. They range in size from 6-14, and most either end at size 8 or start at size 8. Doesn't help that my fiance's brother's wedding was in March and theirs looked a lot like my dress...Ugh.

We shopped at JCPenney. Once in the store for my wedding and once through the catalogue for my sister in laws. the girls wore lace dresses. I just ran into one of my daughters friends and she is wearing a communion dress for her flower girl dress. It looks perfect.

We got all the girls dresses from David's Bridal. I found that the easiest place to deal with since I had attendants in all parts of the country, and in all sizes. My MOH and bridesmaid wore a medium purple color (David's calls it Victorian Lilac), my 3 jr. Bridesmaids wore a light purple (Lilac) and my flower girl wore white.

My FG wore a white first comm. dress that actually looked very similar to my dress.

David's had flower girl dresses that were minitiarized (sp?) versions of my gown...the girls think they are all cinderella!

There's a picture on the website of one just like my dress, but apparently they don't make it anymore...I wish they hadn't worn that other one to the other wedding...It was perfect, and the bride didn't even pick it out, so if I had known sooner, I could've gotten a change. I may look into putting the girls into a coordinating color like celadon (bridesmaid dresses are peridot) or a pink...See if this makes sense to you guys. I want them to be just like that other dress that was worn in the other wedding, but totally different. Make any sense at all?

Aurora--i understand where you are coming from--but why not just put them in the same dresses and have them save all that money? You could accessorize differently...I'm trying to get my little girls parasols...but I can't find nice ones anywhere very cheap...If you really don't want to go with the same dresses, then I think the coordinating color idea is awesome!

Oh, they can't wear the same dresses. They were pretty much ruined by the end of the night and two of the girls had already nearly grown out of them. DFi's mom buys the dresses anyway...These girls have been in 3 weddings now just in his immediate family. Being so close together though and hearing so many comparisons already, I really want nothing to be similar at all, if that makes sense.

You might check in the France pavillion for parasols. They had really cute ones. I have no idea of price but they custom paint them. It would make a nice accessory that can double as a gift. My girls are 3 and 5 and love to play with them with their dolls and when they dress up.

As for dresses, I love Strasburg Children. They have a website, be sure to look at the sale rack. Or what about having the existing dresses professionally dyed?

I got mine from www.girlsdresses.com and they were VERY economical and BEAUTIFUL! :Pinkbounc

My two year old niece calls it her princess dress princess: and my other flowergirl is my niece who will be 9 month at the time of our wedding who loves kicking at the crinolin in her dress. :flower:

This is the style I had gone with 5029 http://www.girlsdresses.com/items/flowergirl-5029.php I couldn't complain $125 (including shipping for both dresses!)

They do have dresses now that I am looking that go up to size 18! So it should meet the needs of anyones wedding.

Also if you need a ring bearers tux they sell tuxes as well!

Trista :)

Ooh I love Strassburg Children too! I saw a beatiful flower girl dress in a wedding magazine. I'm hoping to check out the outlet the next time I'm in Orlando.

There's also an ebay store called Ducklings and Daffodils that's very popular with a lot of brides on another message board I frequent.

My dad owns a kid's clothing store and he sells tons of flower girl dresses. He said the girl's can come and pick whatever dresses they want, free of charge :)

They have a website too, where they will do clearance on discontinued styles. It is a great way to get an VERY well made dress. I'm actually hoping to hit their outlet today with a friend!

I actually found them at Dillards this weekend! I was struggling because of the size variations in the girls, but I found this adorable dress, originally 60, but now only 30 bucks! SO cheap and they're great...white bridal satin on top, a pink satin cumberbund and skirt, with white tulle over the skirt and it has pink rosettes scattered on the skirt. They're lovely...I asked the lady if I could try one on and she got a huge kick out of it.

i got my dress at david's bridal and so did my flower girls. my flower girls happen to get the exact replica of my dress in their sizes. they were three at the time so you can imagine the aww factor.
