My kitten is on the attack! She keeps jumping up on my chair and wedging herself between the chair back and my butt - and then she scratches!!! My butt!!! This is NOT good!!!:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I'll have some 'splainin' to do to DH when he sees those scratches.

that's nothing.....my kitten (now turning cat) from He!! is a real handfull. We've had him since August and he's darn lucky he can be so loveable. So far he's broken 5 vases and 3 knickknacks, torn 2 pairs of pants, scratched a leather jacket, has demolished my couch, he jumps up on the table every time we try to eat so we have to put him in the dog kennel at dinner time, attacked my other cat and dogs, has fallen in the toilet and couldn't get out twice, jumped into my bath (while I was taking a bath), has digested every plant I had- had to get rid of all living plants after the final straw of him trying to eat the cactus, got stuck in the fridge and dishwasher, pooped on the rug, and has completely ruined my wallpaper not to mention my body. (dh much more upset by wallpaper since it doesn't mend as well) He jumps from the counter across the room and lands on people. One day he was hanging off my back as I was screaming and I'll never forget the day he was literally hanging off my dogs face as she ran around the room howling. But he cuddles up on you and purrs like crazy and hill put his paw up like he's trying to grab you if your ignoring him (his most lovable feature - too cute to try to explain in words). Right this moment he is playing with his newest conquest - part of my daughters art project she left on the table. Ummm.....remind me why we still have him.:cat: Aah...just heard another crash. (seriously)

roflmao. I love cats. They are so funny even when they are being horribly bad lol.

Poohtown, your kitty is hilarious (though maybe not to you lol). How old is he?

Our kitten when she was a bit younger used to literally jump on us with her claws as we walked by. She jumped pretty high, too and this was in the summer when we were wearing shorts. She would attach herself to anything....skin, shorts etc!! Ouch!!

I love my kittie but she too has some odd habits. When I am on the regular computer she will sit on my sholders pressed against the back of the chair. Then when I am on the laptop sitting in my chair she will hiss at it then wedge herself between my stomach and the screen. Yes that means she is laying on the keys. She gets very upset when I move her. LOL

Her latest fun is to sit in the front window and bat at the squirell that will be sitting on the other side of the window. The two of them do this at least every other day. They can sit there for hours but at least it wears her out and she isn't running around the house later.

Poohtown, if your cat needs a girlfriend, I can hook him up:teeth: He sounds just like our female cat. As a kitten, she got a running start and then dove off the second story of our open-floorplan house. She landed in the downstairs living room. I didn't see it happen, but I did hear my DH scream bloody murder. He thought that she was dead for sure. Nope...not a scratch on her. I'm pretty sure that this is why she thinks she's invincible to this day, LOL!

She'll be 7 in Nov., and she hasn't really calmed down at all. After a while, you just stop having anything breakable around:teeth: Also, I don't think I've gotten a full night's sleep in the past 7 years. Last year we watched my sister's 3-month-old puppy for a long weekend. My DH said that the puppy was less work than our female cat:rolleyes: Gotta love her, though...she is also the most affectionate animal I've ever met :)

My kittie also dived off of our second story in our open house plan. She managed to land on the couch be we have clawy marks where she tried to hold onto the wall on her way down. That was 5 years ago and she is just now getting back on the ledge. She has never really calmed down from her kittie stage but I love her still.

Mine hasn't calmed down from her kitten stage either. At nearly 7 years-old, I've given up hope that it will ever happen. That's OK, though...it's just who she is I guess, LOL!

yeah he can be quite funny! Everyone who comes over only sees the cute side of him and wants to keep him. Right now he's laying on my lap and his head keeps hitting the keys (like another poster said there cat does).

I guess he just wants all my attention.

another couple things I forgot to put in my description:

i can't read the paper, magazine, or book without him laying directly over it till I play with him. If I try to move him he attacks whatever I'm reading. Newspapers especially!!! One morning it was shredded before anyone had a chance to read it.

He also erases my telephone messages!!! I'm completely serious. The red blinking button attracts him and he paws it till it plays. Then of course he never saves the messages or even tells me about them! People kept telling me they left messages, one day I saw him playing with the answering machine and saw what was happening. Now I tell people to leave messages on the voice mail. (He hasn't figured that out yet.:teeth: :cat:

oh almost forgot - he's about 4 months old now although he is as big as my older cat. He eats like crazy (I won't even mention how many times I have to clean the litter box - ) If cats could play football, he'd be the quarterback!

Oh, you guys are making me want to go adopt another kitten (seriously!). It's like having a newborn. You forget all of the bad stuff and only remember the cute cuddly stuff. I miss the days when Guinness, Scratchy, and Killian were babies. They were SOOOOOOOOOO cute!

Sorry, that has me ROTFL!

My kitty used to jump on me too - he did it once while I was ironing and I ruined that dress with a burnt marking of the iron (I left it face down while I screamed and peeled him off me LOL).

I'm going through this same thing with our new kitten. She's an absolute terror but SO cute that you have to forgive her. :teeth:

Every time I pass the kitten stage I've always said "NEVER AGAIN. Never getting another kitten!" And then I always do. :hyper:

I love all the funny kitty stories. My kitten is, right now, chasing a ball of aluminum foil all over the house. I gave her that to discourage her from trying to attack my English muffin.;)

I never realized how old my other cat is until we got the kitten. He's 5 and so calm compared to her. But he did have his days when he was a baby...:p

writting all this stuff about 'cat from HE!!' has got me thinking about Christmas. I can only imagine the tree!!! Guess I'll only be putting non-breakable ornaments up this year and keeping my grandmothers ornaments in storage.
