But ya know what??? I bought one for Chris for his Birthday a couple of weeks ago! It's something he's always wanted. We already baked lots of cookies in less than half the time!!!

PS - Buck _ I'd come visit anyway dear, and by the way - I've yet to find really good pizza in Jersey! I'm an original New Yorker!!!!

I got my KA mixer last Christmas, but they gave it to me in October so I could do all my holiday baking. I use it constantly and find I bake even more than before since it's so easy now. Enjoy it!!

I too love my KA mixer......... 300 watts gun metal grey.... Now that I think about it I should have asked for attachments for it for Christmas....... Oh well....... but with two kids 3 and under and another one the way, I dont think I really have the time to grind my own meat and cheeses right now! LOL

You will LOVE the mixer. I got one for Christmas a few years ago and it is great.

My mother has her original one from the 60's. It still works perfectly and she bakes everything with it.

OH boy oh boy I am so jealous of all you people and your mixers!!
I've been wanting one for a long time now, and am going to put it on our registry for our wedding next year, but the wait is killing me, lol.
I tried baking sugar cookies this year and my little hand mixer just couldn't handle the batch, the batter turned out like a lump of coal
We've got two at my work, the one I use is an Epicurean 6qt w/ lots of attatchments, its my baby! And the guys have a huge KA industrial sized one that just rocks, its 10 quarts or something insane like that.

I got mine three years ago as a Valentines Day gift. But before you say anything, I was thrilled because it was what I wanted. And to me when someone goes through the trouble to get what you want and spend that kind of money ( I have the high end restaurant one, in the granite grey type of finish), then that shows I am loved. I love mixing my cookies this time of year on it>

My mom has had the same Kitchen Aid stand mixer since about 1977. It still works wonderfully. I like it so much that I registered for one while doing my wedding registry.

I am really excited about it. LOL This week a client asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told her besides a trip to WDW, I wanted a KA stand mixer. She was aghast that I wanted an appliance! So, Sandramaac, I do understand where you were coming from!

I got one several years ago and absolutely love it. My only problem is it is too tall to sit on my counter and the only cupboard it fits in is high up-- so I always have to get DH to get it down or climb up on a chair.
