My kids just got their class assignments!!!

My older 2 kids are only 18 months apart and follow each other in school. They have repeated many teachers in elementary and my DD Jeana is soooo tired of hearing "Oh! You're Kirk's sister!" She was looking forward to going to middle school (her brother is in 7th) and being on any team but the one he had last year! Well, she received the paper yesterday and was thrilled to hear she was on Team 3, not team 1 like Kirk had last year. Well, today, the each received their teacher assigments. Kirk AND Jeana are on the 6/7 Split Team - the 4 teachers teach both 6 and 7th graders!!! She won't have the teacher Kirk had LAST year, she has the ones he has THIS year!!!! Jeana is fit to be tied!!! As a plus for me, I only have one new set of teachers to get to know!! Back to School night should be a breeze!!

Urg!! How i know what this feels like!! My brother is only 10 months older than me. His first 10 months was the longest time we have ever been apart. How tired am i of being "patricks little sister"!!??? Big hugz and sympathy is headed you DD's way!!

Whenever Jeana gets the "big brother blues", I tell her to try and think how her little sister feels. Jessica has also shared some of the same teachers and she doesn't get referred to as "Jeana's little sister" - the teachers just CALL HER JEANA! At least Jeana can be assured that she will NEVER be called Kirk (if she does, this teacher had better retired!!)
