We checked in on Saturday, the 12th and the lady at the front desk (Linda) was making small chat with us. My DD informed her that she just turned 4 (her birthday was on the 11th) DS chimed in that he just turned 8 at the end of October. He also told her that this was their first visit to Universal and he couldn't wait to ride Harry Potter. DD told her she couldn't wait to meet Sponge Bob and Dora. Our room wasn't ready yet, so we got our hotel card keys and tickets and spent the day at the park. Express Pass is *the* way to go. I can't imagine going to Universal parks and NOT staying on-site. The FOTL access perk is just too good!!!

So that night we get to our room and about 15 minutes later there's a knock on the door. A housekeeper is there with two balloon bouquets and a card. I'm thinking "did I pre-order these?" :confused3

We read the card and it's from LINDA! Wishing my kids a happy birthday and great first visit. She had a Dora balloon for my DD and a Harry Potter balloon for my DS. And each bouquet had plain and peanut M&M bags and skittles.

How awesome is that!!!!!

Pretty great!

(for Universal I believe the phrase is "mummy dust", though, LOL...vs pixie dust :goodvibes )

mummy dusted?!?! Very cool!

I've been wondering if there was an official term the whole week of our vacation - LOL!

Yes...it's mummy dust at Universal. ;)

That's a wonderful story! So glad your kids got to experience the surprises!
:yay:

I remember when the Universal onsite hotels used to do the kids bags for the Loews Club members. They were really nice.

Congratulations to your kids, nice surprise! :thumbsup2
