Hahaha, my 5 year old pulled the same thing! All during trip planning she wanted nothing to do with the characters. As soon as we got to the parks, its ALL SHE WANTED TO DO! Had to change all of our Fastpasses to character meets on the day we arrived!

We were there a couple of weeks ago and went to Garden Grill. The boys loved it and Pluto was big hit! Chip and Dale are really fun and it was neat to see Farmer Mickey. The Living with the Land ride was closed when we were there but it would be neat to see the boats pass by. Good luck!

We are likely cancelling chef mickeys for a party of 9 for Tuesday. I can arrange to tell you when as I cancel it to make it work so you can hopefully get it....or are you not there yet?

To everyone else, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!! Seriously!!! I didn't realize they were so accessible in the parks, I always hear of people waiting for hours and hours but come to think of it, those people are always talking about anna/else or jack/sally, etc. and I guess in my panic I attributed crazy wait times to ALL characters in the parks! Thank you again so much for all the input!!!

Actually, just take him to Downtown Disney and there are "statues" of the characters there, take a picture with them and say, Ok we are done with characters...........

At the Character Spot in Epcot, you can meet Mickey, Minnie and Goofy all at the same time

I would try to get into Garden Grill, we had luck even during our stay. Mickey, Pluto and Chip & Dale. No Goofy but it's something

I wouldn't worry too much about it! As others have mentioned, there are plenty of places to meet them in the parks. I would definitely hit Character Spot in EP and Goofy and Pluto in Dinoland in AK. That should take care of his list!

I bet they'd have fun with Chip and Dale, they goof around with the kids and are very funny! I always see them in EPCOT just inside of innoventions (not sure if it's East or west, but right near Soarin and that big "times for the rides' sign.

We enjoyed Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom for breakfast if you are still looking to book a character meal. We met Donald, Mickey, Goofy and Daisy. They looked pretty cool in their safari attire!

you said you didn't want to meet any characters! He's like, I don't, I just want my picture taken with them.

It's these moments that give us a deeper insight into how our kids think. I just asked my son (we homeschool so he's here) if he sees a difference in meeting vs taking pictures, and he says he's old enough now to know they are the same thing. But he definitely didn't used to think that! He's never been one to have conversations with any character other than Jack Sparrow*. He just wants to say hi, pose, say bye, and move along.


*Sparrow...he met him twice when DS was 3, at Disneyland, on two trips. First trip that year DS had a new light-up/makes-clanging-noises sword. Jack took great interest in it, and our pictures show the two of them examining it. Second trip he had a fun light-up keychain light saber, and Jack knelt down to inspect this newfangled, small but powerful, sword. Must have been 5 minutes interaction that second time, it was soooo cool. (not the same Jack, FWIW, which made it extra cool)
