Well,
Here is the basics and the whole story:
Cast, My wife and I
Cool weather 85-90, which was great
Some rain but not too bad
The Crowds were NOT bad at all. I don't know who says summer is busy but this was NOTHING compared to Christmas or April
We left early on Thur morning arriving at the hotel by 11:00. Check is was very easy and we even got upgraded to a courtyard veiw at no extra cost which was great!
The Wilderness lodge is incredible! What a wonderful hotel with tons of character.
We rushed off to AK on that first morning which we were excited about since my wife had never been there. We had a great time and the weather was fine. A touch of rain here and there and not too hot. While we enjoyed the AK it doesn't quite do "it" for me. It seems like it has a little less Disney magic, but it just might be that I have no childhood memories of it since it is a newer park.
We finished off the evening with a wonderful dinner at 'Ohanas at and a few drinks at the Artist Point lounge back at the hotel.
Day two was our most action packed. We started off at Epcot hitting all our favorites and the new figment ride. I have always been a HUGE figment fan, but I thought the new ride was just OK. My wife had never been to Honey I Shrunk the Audience, which is always fun. WE stopped over at Rose and Crown for lunch which was great. We then headed back to the hotel around 3:30 to rest and get ready for the Hoop Dee Do.
When we got to the HDD we found out our table was front and center. We had a great time at this hoaky musical and we enjoyed the food (for the time being).
After HDD we headed over to MK for e rides which was AWESOME! There were no lines and it was well worth the money. By the time we left at 12:30 I was starting to feel a little funny.
Day 3 at 5:00, OH NO, I'M SICK. I think I got food poisoning from something I ate at the HDD. I was trapped in bed for the WHOLE DAY and I can't remember the last time I felt so bad (and I don't get sick).
Day 4 We finished off with a day at MK and flew home.
All in all a great trip but it sucked to lose a day on a quick Disney trip.
