My Journal to Me - Comments welcome!

Made it through another day. Dealt with a lot of paperwork today including insurance company regarding DD12's orthodontia (long story!) and was very tempted to have a major junk binge, but I resisted:banana: . I had such good intentions for exercise today even though it was in the 50's and +30 mph winds. I dropped DD3 off at preschool and headed to the beach for a walk and it started to rain :umbrella:. Thought I would try again while DD's were at swim practice - it hailed! Over the weekend we were in the pool and BBQing, now this:confused3 Weird weather... For dinner, I kept plugging stuff into fitday to see if I could have it: chips & salsa (no), quesadilla (no). It was good for me to do and just stick with my soup. I still have too many carbs & not enough protein I think, but I have gotten the fat under control, at least.

8a - 1c grapefruit, 1c GoLean Crunch, 12oz skim milk
12p - Sweet & Salty granola bar
1:30p - wholewheat toast w/ 1T PB & 1/2T marmalade
2:45p - apple
6:45p - clementine orange
7:30p - 1.5c tortilla soup w/ 1/2c added chicken breast, 10 grape tomatoes, 12oz skim milk

Amy - it is so tempting to try a "quick fix" for the weight loss, but I know that is not the right way to go long term. I am frustrated to be back in the 160's again. Eventually I will get to my goal, I just want to be there NOW (sigh!):rotfl2:

AmyM - I really do like the way I feel when exercising, and with the weather getting better and the longer days, I know I will get out there. I also know I need to come up with a "winter" exercise solution. Hopefully by the time winter rolls around again, I'll be so addicted to running/walking again, I won't mind going out when it is not nice outside.:rotfl2: or maybe I'll find a good gym.

Jamie - it is great to see you back! We had a great time at WDW and then on our cruise.

Tracy - thangs for the support:thumbsup2

Hi Anna,

Great job on not doing the junk binge!!!! That is awesome..
The weather here is weird too, we are suppose to get rain/snow showers tonight and tomorrow and then be back in the 60's and 70's by Friday/Saturday....it's weird!

You're food looks great! You are doing a great job, keep it up,

Have a wonderful day :)

Great job using FitDay to gauge what you could have for dinner. I usually plan a day before, so I know what I can eat all day... I've gotten pretty good at sticking to the plan (MOST days!).

Maybe you could invest in a treadmill for the winter months. Or join a gym, that way they can take care of all the maintenance on it!! I just renewed my membership, I can't imagine not going a couple times a week, it really grows on you!

Glad you had a WONDERFUL trip!

I gotta tell you, though, you both SCARED me and INSPIRED me! If you can gain 11 lbs in a week, what will happen to me in 2 weeks???? I need to get off as much as I can NOW!!!!!

Looks like you're doing really well at keeping on track.

Have a great rest of the week!

(oh, thanks for sending your winds my way! We're down to 40 now & about 40 mph winds)

Hi Anna, way to go resisting the urge to eat junk!:thumbsup2 It takes a lot of determination to lose weight and you have that so keep strong! Quick fixes are always so tempting but they never, ever work with anything, especially weight loss. It stinks! Exercising during the colder times is a challenge for many of us. Thank goodness spring and summer are just around the corner!

Hi Anna,

The weight gain from vacation will be gone soon. That had to be allot of water weight. I've done the cabbage soup diet before. It is only a temporary loss, I always gained it back quickly. I think you are better off sticking to your current plan. If you need to boost your protien, you can do peanut butter (low carb or low fat) on celery, or rice cakes. It's a very filling snack. Just hang in there. You are doing so good.

AmyM - I get so bored on a treadmill. I will likely look around for a good gym next winter. I planned ahead with fitday today and it really did help. Even left me room for a glass of Ovaltine  If only I could be that organized everyday:confused3

Julie - yea, I was shocked when I stepped on the scale. I think most of it was from the cruise too - nonstop eating & no exercise except taking the stairs to go eat so more!:scared1: The good news is I've already lost 6.5 of those lbs. I'm afraid the remaining 4.5lbs maybe real though and harder to get off.:sad2: Sorry about the winds. They really were awful. It is nice now though except it is still cold :brr:

Amy - I can't wait for spring to really get here:banana: . Even with my crazy allergies, I still prefer the sun and warmth!

Dee - I love PB (had it this morning for breakfast:) ), but I don't like the LF version. I haven't tried the Low Carb version. I'll have to look for it.

Tracy & Jamie - I was pretty pleased with myself for avoiding the junk food binge. It gave me some confidence that I am finally really back on track.

Hi Anna,

Just wanted to stop in and say hi

Hope all is well

Keep up the great work

Have a wonderful day :)

Hi Anna, your food looks really good. I am a big believer in tackling food before the exercise thing so I think your plan of getting that down first and then starting back up with regular exercise next week is a good one! And my allergies this year are so bad its unbelieveable! Sorry you have them too, they make me crazy and worn out! Have a good weekend and keep up the good work, you will be back in the 150's very soon!
